Rude welcome

From the check-in, we knew this was a mistake. The desk clerk was mumbling and my spouse could not understand her. He asked told her so and asked her to speak up. Therefore, she turned her back to him and continued talking toward the wall. He again told her that he could not understand her. Then she started screaming "can you hear me now" and began to make a scene. He told her he would not put up with the kind of behaviour. She was so rude and ended our night on a sour note. Also, she failed to tell us that they charge $6 to park in the garage...the only way to access the rooms and the only place to park our car. She also failed to tell us how to gain entry to the garage. We finally got into the garage and into our room. There were random long black hairs on the bathtub and bathroom floor. The TV swivels between the bed and the sofa making it difficult to watch without craning your neck on either side. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst neighbor. Disappointed in Dallas!

Staff was nice, but the hotel itself was not updated, the room was dirty (hair all over the bathroom), & the walls are paper-thin.

Pictures of hotel were very nice, it appeared to be clean & updated. Upon arrival we noticed the hotel was not in the best part of town & was not updated. The room was also not updated, but appeared clean. The bathroom was another story, there was hair on the toilet, in the bathtub, & on the floor. Another problem was the walls were paper-thin. I woke up 4-5 times during the night because I thought someone was knocking on the door. It was the most noise I have ever experienced as a hotel guest. Would not stay here again.

Hotel or Construction Site?

When I entered the lobby of this establishment, I was in utter disbelief. They were aggressively reconstructing the first floor including the lobby. There was loud noise with thick and visible dust and debris flying around everywhere. I couldn't put anything on the counter because of the think pileup of dust. The front desk was covered in a huge plastic sheet. I had to talk to the hotel employees from the side of the desk. I could understand painting a door or drilling a hole but keeping the hotel open in those conditions is inexcusable. I asked if I would hear the construction noises from my room. I was assured that my room was newly renovated and away from the construction. Well, when walking to my room, I saw a man doing some sort of construction right next door to my room in the hallway. Sure enough, as soon as I entered my room, banging began. When I invite people to visit my home, I make sure it's clean, neat and presentable. I would have been embarrassed if my home was in the condition this hotel was in. This hotel should have been closed for renovation!

Under Construction

Hotel was under construction. I felt the rate was too high for so many inconveniences--lack of a breakfast area in which to eat, plus dust, noise, and workmen everywhere. I don't think the new decor is much of an improvement. I didn't like the chest of drawers in the closet. It limited space for hanging clothes. Also, they need to put a door up into the sink area of the bathroom to separate it from the bedroom.

Under construction

Hotel is apparently undergoing a major remodel but, that is no excuse for lack of cleanlyness both inside lobby, halls and parking garage. Lighting included three wall sconces and four lamps but only a total of three light bulbs. The living area had interior sheer curtains but no privacy curtain. No hairdryer.

Not so great

This isn't the hotel I would let my children walk around in bare feet.

The room stunk terribly with smoke smell. The internet did not work. The front desk service when we arrived was terribley rude.

Needs Improvement

Room was uncomfortably warm....i understand the need to conserve enery and the AC cutting itself off when you leave the room. But in Texas in July this is just not feasable. It took hours after we returned to our room for the room to reach a comfortable temperature. Also, being in the construction industry i believe that the renovation area was not properly concealed from the rest of the hotel, there was dust and construction tools in hallways that were open to guests.
