Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 64Not Great
I choose the hotel because of the location. As far as the location it was perfect because it is on the boardwalk right next to other major casinos. The service personals at the hotel were great and made me feel welcomed. Hotel room was not great. It looked old and needs to be updated to meet standards expected for 4star hotel. Restrooms were ok but the shower was half sputtering. I would against sleeping in the hotel bed because the mattress was hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. I had to wake up every couple of hours to readjust my body position so it would stop hurting. The hotel did NOT meet expectation as far as money spent on it.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 64Great room, poor location
I stayed here for a conference one night. The room itself is very clean and quite large but the surrounding area is filthy and there is not much to do in this hotel. I had to go to different hotels to meet friends or to eat out.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 64Room Dirty
I was so excited to stay at the Trump Plaza Hotel. Everything was normal and I got checked into my room. I went out to meet people I was with for dinner and gambling. Later that night when I went back to my room to retire after a long day, I went into the bathroom and noticed there was some mold around the tub and some grout coming loose in the floor then I noticed about 20 hairs left on the bathroom floor that were not cleaned up before my arrival. Then I noticed the dust around the edges of the floor all around the room and under the desk (not vucummed for sometime). I was so tired I just showered and got into bed. It was comfortable and the sheets were clean but the comforter had a tear in it right on top and when I got into the bed the velour blanket had something on it (not washed). It was not really visible but I could feel it on the blanket. I do not know what it was. Then in the morning when I crawled under the desk to plug in the coffee maker I got an allergy attack from the dust under there.

This is one of the oldest casino/hotels in Atlantic City. It is run down. It reminds me of the Imperial Palace in Vegas a few years back before any work was done.

Most of the restaurants were closed on Friday night. There were pubic hairs on the toilet and floor in the bathroom There were scuff marks all over the doors and walls. The wallpaper was peeling The baseboard tiles were loose and falling off The bathroom counter was very scratched.

For this hotel being owned by Donald Trump, I was disappointed by waiting at check in-Told me room would not be ready for 2 hours-I booked it 2 weeks in advance, Registration personnel not the friendlist. No comps on anything. Room was overpriced for how small it was-no luxury. Needed to pay for use of gym?!! Why have a fitness center and not let your guests use it free of charge-plus did not state this until I went to use it. Unforntunately, I don't think we will be staying at the Trump Plaza again. Sorry, Mr. Trump!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 64Unfortunate Experience
I choose this hotel by mistake and it's a mistake I paid dearly for. My intention was to book at one of the other Trump hotels but clicked this one by accident. I don't know where to begin. Upon my arrival, the desk clerk seemed like he was on the 10th hour of his 8 hour shift. Our shower had hair in it from previous patrons. Our toilet ran continuously, which at times was nice because it drowned out the noise from our neighbors toilet that also apparently ran non-stop. We had the same waitress twice and she acted like it was an extreme inconvenience to wait on us, so much so that we had to request assistance multiple times from other employees. There are numerous other items that could be listed here but I don't not have the time to write them. If I had to rate this hotel on a scale of 1-10 it would be a zero.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 64Staff Cutbacks?
Three employees trying to check in the 25 to 30 guests waiting in line will never be enough. I began my wait to check in at about 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. After about thirty minutes waiting, I was told that my pre-paid room would not be ready for another three hours. Check in time is 6:30? This is an indication that the maid staff is spread too thin as well as the front desk. Couldn't wait to leave the hotel as I was only staying one night. I decided to extend my stay one more night, based on the inconvenience of my inability to check in at a reasonable time. This time I went to the Tropicana.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 64Trump Plaza Needs Customer Service 'Make Over'
Although the Trump Plaza has many good qualities (we have stayed there before), we found the staff in the restaurants and at the front desk disinterested at best. Too many private conversations and inside jokes while customers stood in long lines waiting for tables (50% open, some not cleared) and to check in/out - and, when we were served, surly attitudes did not speak well for the hotel. Hopeful that recent change in ownership will make a difference.
