Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 61Room needs major renovations
The hotel lobby was good but that's where it ends. The room was spacious but cold and dingy and didn't have light. The bed sheet covers and the comforter looked like they were purchased from salvation army. The sheets were rough, flimsy and uncomfortable. The heater does not go up more than 30 degree Celsius and it was cold all night in the middle of October. To their credit the bath room was OK and had modern looking sink.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 61First Impressions are not what you get....
I had been in the lobby of this hotel before our stay. It is modern, bright, and looks like a place I would stay. WOW, the rooms are nothing like what the lobby shows. The rooms have not been updated. Curtains with holes, toilet seats that move around, doors that don't close are just some of the "atmosphere" items that we had. However, at the top of the list was the fact that there is no A/C in the rooms to speak of. In addition, the "central heat" had been turned on in the building. They did not manage to turn it off when the warm weather returned. We ended up suffering with temps around 80 the first night. I should have been worried when I saw a stand fan in the bedroom. Feels morelike a stay with family vs hotel. Service is not up to standard as well. We were told the reason we did not get the bed choice we wanted was because of last min. reservation. Nicer rooms available but not offered as an option?? Will not be back !

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 61needs improvement
the first 5 min when me and my friend parked in the hotel parking and dropped the bags in the rooms - we received a call from reception that our cars have been broken in. there was not much support from the stuff, nor curtsey at all. I was very frustrated because we had a big day the next day. Anyhow it appeared that this is close to a rehab... :) So keep that in mind. it is a good location but you have to be very conscious about your belongs cause no one will help you!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 61Needs improvement
It seemed that a lot of things were broken. Our phone would not work most of the time and the shower did not work well. The shower also kept flooding the bathroom since it was not working properly and the curtains were too short. Our friends in the room next door had to change rooms in the middle of the night since their couch bed would not pull out. The nicest thing about the hotel was the lobby.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 61Great space horrendous bed
The pros: The living area, set up like a small urban apartment, is wonderful. You get a small kitchen complete with stove, full-size fridge and sink overlooking an actual living room with a big-screen TV. The view was another asset. Cons: I've had a better night's sleep while camping. The cheap mattress was rock-hard, and the pillows were thinner than folded bath towels and probably less comfortable. A hotel in this price range should do much better; pillows and mattresses aren't that expensive and make a big difference. The hotel was also dustier than I would expect.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 61Good enough for what you pay for
The floor view was beautiful nice view of downtown off the balcony. The things that i was not happy about was the room was very small with 2 full size beds cramped in them and also the heater didnt even work! And it was very annyoning that i had to keep calling for extra towels and washcloths. One of the housekeepers when asked to bring 2 sets of towels up he didnt even bring face towels and told me he is busy! What sucks is the building is directly next door to a hospital! Ha good luck sleeping with all the albumlance trucks!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 61Deceivingly Great Lobby
When you first arrive at the hotel, it is impressive--nice lobby, convenient restaurant, newly opened deli/cafe. After you left the lobby, the true nature of the hotel came through. The hotel is very dated. The rooms are okay, but old and tired looking. The water pressure on the shower was so strong that the floor got soaked every time, no matter how we tried to block the spray with the curtain. The hotel staff did not appear to really know the particulars about the transportation or the time it takes to get from one place to another. We were always told "it's a 15 or 20 minute walk" and, while we may be a little slower than some, we weren't 2 hours slower! We were sold a 2-day Big Bus Pass and told that we could use it all during the next two days and that we could get on, get off where we liked. That was a joke! The bus quit running in early evening and you could only get on or get off at pre-determined stops. The staff should have known the details if they were going to sell the tickets.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 61toilet was leaking
Hotel lobby and counter looked renovated but not the rooms. Our room looked old, out-dated, the beds were unconfortable and the toilet was leaking water. We had to ask for a different room and they charged us to update for a better room because of the toilet leaking. Would never stay again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 61Pricey, average, too far from the action
Rooms were decent sized, average cleanliness, no personality, costly - pick a hotel closer to Robson/Burrard for more shopping, ocean views, etc.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 61Memorial Weekend in Vancouver
Area is awesome, you can walk every where!!!! Location location location, made us forget how uncomfortable the beds were. We checked in a little late and they were still not done cleaning our room. They didnt finish the cleaning, they just left the room as it was. Also, we didnt get the type of room that we reserved. We will try some other hotel next time we go there.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 61Lobby outshines rooms.
I stayed in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen and a decent lanai. The rooms are not as nice as the lobby. I think the building is an old condominium building, my room seemed like a small one bedroom apartment. It was ok.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 61Cheap Hotel
The hotel location is great. However, the equipment in the room are very bad. We have broken chair, broken drasser. The worst part was the heat which was set too low when we were at -2 degree outside. I will not recommend this hotel unless they do a major repair.
