I was hopeful that my free night stay would be enjoyable. I even got an upgrade when booking. Well if I had paid for this hotel I would have requested my money back. I am sorry that I wasted my free night for this dirty hotel room. The hotel itself was so beautiful, but the rooms are old and dirty, even if in a non-smoking room u could smell smoke! The buffet on sunday morning was so over priced and the food and service were not good! Over all I would suggest u visit the hotel but dont stay!

Hotel Check- in

The hotel check-in was available from 4pm which is typical for most hotels. My boyfriend and I tried to check into the hotel at 7 pm that evening. We literally had to stand in line for one hour and ten minutes in order to check in. While the reservation desk has close to 15 terminals, they only had one person working the normal check-ins and two checking in for VIP check-ins. There were a minimum of 50 people in line trying to check in during this time. Many, many people were complaining and several people missed out on their dinner reservations. I have never, ever had this type of terrible service before. I could not believe that they could not make a call and get more personnel to assist with check-ins. Poor, poor service.

very poor rooms for the money.

We've stayed at this Hotel several times and the rooms were always decent, never great but decent. The room they put us in was very cheap and dated. We switched rooms for the first time ever and the second room was one small step up from the first. The rooms were basically what you would expect from a budget lodge or motel 6 type place. The location and the entertainment were great.

Hell Weekend

This is not somewhere you would ever want to stay. Atlantic City at it's worst. The West tower is a dump. All rooms with a king bed require you take a handicapped room complete with toilet riser and shower with roundabout grip bars and seat. Of course they do not tell you this when you check in for $$$$ a night. The first night Friday we called for security three times in the night for the suite next door which contained no less than 6 men swearing and banging on the walls all night. By 5:00 AM I felt safe enough to go to the General Manger who said he would move us as they were to be there again on Saturday. He told me to come back around 11:00 and he would have us moved. I did exactly that to learn that he had left at 8:00 AM and left no such instructions. Back to square one at 11:00 AM with no sleep. Grab a bench on the boards at least it may be quieter.

Great location, horrible room.

I must say I was very disappointed when I got to my room. The furniture was very out dated and the carpet was absolutely disgusting. I can't count how many stains were on those carpets. My room was in the Havana Tower. The postitive things is the Tropicana enviroment the casino, bars, restaraunts were great but room was gross. I won't stay again what a disappointment.

Horrible Service, Waste of Money, Ruined Our Trip

We asked for a non-smoking room. At check-in they said it was non-smoking and indeed the floor was non-smoking. However, our room stunk of smoke and made we want to barf. I immediately called the front desk. She said they would change our room. So we brought out belongings back to the front desk to wait in line for 20 minutes. When we finally got to speak to someone she is like I don't think we can change your room. The manager (Chris) came and said no we will disinfect it. So, we wasted 20 minutes and then waited another 15 minutes for the guy to come disinfect out room. No one showed up and we were starving. So, we go to eat and come back to find the room still with a horrible stinky smell. So, we call the front deak, speak to Chris and he is like someone disinfected the room is fine. So, he is like "I will come up to check this." He comes up and says yes the room does smell. (And of course no apologies for wasting our time and making us go through this or even letting us switch to another clean room. ) He uses the 2 way radio to ask for someone to disinfect the room. The guys sprays stuff over the carpet and leaves. That wasted another hour of our trip that was only a one night stay. Horrible service. They couldn't even give us a clean room. Stay away or see your trip ruined!

Needs Improvement

No ashtray in smoking room. Broken handles on furniture. Did not replace cream and sugar packets for morning coffee. I had to call down to security (twice)for extrememly loud yelling and screaming in the room next door at 3:30AM. I tried to use the express check out and my call went straight to VOICE MAIL so I had to go down to the front desk and stand in line for about 10 minutes. I was never so glad to check out of some place in my entire life.

Needs Updating

Stayed at the hotel, great hotel service, but the room we got was SO small! The bathroom was so small the had to put the sink OUTSIDE the bathroom in the bedroom. ??? The comforters looked dirty with yellow stains. Great service, but disappointing room!

spend a bit more for a nicer casino hotel

hotel is fine enough though next time i will spend an extra bit of money to stay at one of the other casinos. the casino is so-so. the restaurants all close early-ish on friday and saturday nights making it hard to get dinner anywhere besides the deli after 10pm. it's a casino...food should be more available! the pool closes at 6pm. room service took so long (waited over 1.5 hours) we ended up canceling it. ps. you need to list Washington, DCon the states list.

Bed Cleaning

The room was ok, although I was expecting more of an ocean view (I thought that's what I indicated at the time of purchase) My main problem was the fact that the bed felt like there were crumbs on it. Was not happy about that at all. My second main problem is that there are not enough staff members at night to tend to guest needs. One or two people is not sufficient. And there was no one to direct us with parking. That really upset me.

Not Handicapped Friendly

All I can say is that due to a power outage we were bounced around from 3am until well after to one room to another. My girlfriend is handicapped and not once did they provide any assistance when they were shipping us from one end of the hotel to the other. If you need assistance during your stay...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. AWFUL

great casino/shops/food, bad hotel room

inside of hotel was gorgeous...great shopping and resturaunts......but the room was not very good. no microwave as advertised.....uncomfortable bed...small room. all of the best parts of the hotel you could access for free if you stayed somewhere else and just visited here. it also was kind of out of the way from most attractions there. close to the beach but far away from the steel pier and other casinos/hotels where everything was happening. stay somewhere else, but stop by to check out the shops/food/cool designs.....and the only place in ac i found with decent beer. firewater was great.....51 taps. was really surprised at the lack of quality drinks in a gambling town.
