Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. The mixed ratings are due to the fact that there are old rooms and newly renovated. The old rooms are listed as Ocean view. And if you lean far enough off of the balcony, you can look over the filthy parking lot and actually see it. Room was filthy. Sand was in the sheets. Garbage cans outside were over flowing. Air conditioner leaked all over the floor. Mildew was on the walls. Fixtures were bent. Light bulbs missing. Appliances missing legs. Room furniture was early depression. The Bates Motel had it beat!!!!!

I admit my expectations were low. All we wanted was a beach front room and a place for our dogs. When arriving the person told me I booked a "partial ocean" view and needed to pay an upgrade for the "ocean-view". This seemed ridiculous considering nearly ALL rooms were empty. We requested a later check out...but declined it because it was not complimentary. Very poor customer care. It was nice to have a small kitchenette and to be able to walk out to the beach. If you don't mind poor service...choose this hotel...if service is important to you...choose another!!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 31Found: Bikini Top Underneath Fitted Sheet and Mattress Pad....?
I realized when booking this hotel that it was cheaper than many others and I therefore did expect to "get what I paid for." However, I left with many doubts. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby and pool were very nice and thats where it stopped. Our room smelled of mold/mildew. The tub/shower leaked at least a gallon of water per minute non-stop. The microwave in the room did not turn on, which they did correct and give us a new one. The last straw for us however was the fact that on our last day we found the top of a bikini swimsuit underneath the fitted sheets on our bed. This left us with the question of whether or not the sheets were ever switched from the previous customers. I could have lived with the smell and other little things that went wrong with the hotel. I can't get past the swimsuit however. I did not report it to the management because I don't think they would have believed me. I swear however that it was not mine and we did in fact find it underneath the fitted sheet and mattress pad on the bed. The string was hanging out on the side of the bed on our last day. I just dont know if the sheets were changed? How could you not see the bikini? It was black with white skulls on it?!?!?!

I am not a very picky person...as long as the place is clean I expect to get what I pay for but this was terrible! I have 3 kids who are only interested in the pool. When we checked in we found out that the pool was out of order and that we would have to use the pool at the hotel next door. As we took the elevator to our room on the second floor the door opened to overflowing garbage cans and a smell from hell. Our room was nice as it contained a kitchenette ...you just had to get used to the musty smell when you first enter the room. Also the toilet ran all night. Never saw housekeeping or any maintenance people. When we went for the continental breakfast the next morning there was no food, coffee overflowing from the machine and all over the floor, and it was stifling hot. Someone did come to stock the counters with food after awhile, and a few requests later. As we departed we gazed upon and SMELLED the same garbage...as if it were waiting to greet the next unlucky guests who stepped off the elevator...24 hours later. Never so glad to get back home!!!!!!!

this hotel is in an outstanding location right on the beach and could be a nice piece of property with much needed renovation. the room was falling apart and there was only 2 elevators shared by customers and the employees which means housekeeping was always in the way. overall, i'd recommend this hotel considering the price if you just need a place to sleep for a night.

The room was dirty and disgusting, the shower wasn't cleaned (hair all over the walls and bottom), it had water damage and was very run down. I complained and they "upgraded" me to another room the 2nd night, and it was just as bad. The door would not close completely and the shower did not work. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was there merely to spend the night. The hotel front office closes in the evening and you have to go to a neighboring hotel to get checked in (several of them are owned by the same company). The location is great--right on the beach, across the street from a 24-hr Denny's and decent shopping. I found a small bug in my bed, which freaked out my girlfriend (but no front desk person to give us a new room). The wireless internet and cable tv were good. They charge extra for parking and using the room safe. When I went to the front desk to check out, there was no one there--only a sign telling me to use the phone there to call an extension and check out with the person on the other end of the line. Overall, I've gotten better for my money and I was surprised that it was so hard to find a person at the desk. I would not recommend it for an extended stay.

I have never stayed in such a filthy room before. There were quite a few problems: 1. Walls were dirty; paint was chipped 2. Stove was rusty 3. Bath vent was rusty, very dusty and did not work 4. Bath wall and ceiling had hair stuck to them 5. The worst problem was the sliding glass door to the balcony. 5.A. Sliding Door track was so full of dirt and debrie, you could barely shove it open using two hands and your body to do so. (Can anyone say: FIREHAZARD?) 5.B. and there were chicken bones and toenail clippings on balcony...???... Issue was addressed to Customer service Desk...The young man behind the counter said he only worked there one day a week and the woman said that they were only a 2.2 rated hotel, our booking page showed a 3.2 rating) and the cleaning staff had been backed up for a few days. If this is the case, WHY are they renting the rooms out dirty? I expected much better conditions..

When we got there, the patio door separated from the glass, we got a smaller room. Then we moved again to a bigger room, had to move 2 times. Elevator not working at the one side of the motel that we were at. Jacuzzi was not working. Ended up on the 1st floor, ocean side which was nice, no more elevator pain. They did compensate us for the hassle. Continental breakfast, get their fast before the bagels run out. The staff were nice.

The exterior of this hotel looked average to good , it has a great location. But the room it was the first time in my life I had ever seen ceramic tile that had not been cleaned in years with black gunk on the floor. Our room was 121 do not let them give you this . Then I was wondering if they ever clean the carpet which looked average so I sit a paper on the floor between the beds it was still there 2 days latewr when We left avoid this dump

The hotel seemed fine from the outside. But the rooms were really bad. From the moment we entered the room, we just wanted to get out of there . There was no shower curtain, no closet doors. The toilet was decrepit - wouldn't flush properly. And the bathroom was dirty and there were broken tiles. It hadn't been cleaned properly either. The room hadn't even been cleaned properly after the previous guest left - there was an anti-perspirant left on the counter.

Location was the only perk to this stinker literally. Everything was broken or broke when we used it. The jacuzzi looked like a toilet. The bathrooms by the pool were nasty. We found the description of this hotel confusing. The ocean view rooms overlook the parking lot before you see the ocean, the pool view rooms do overlook the pool which is in front of the hotel and the hotel blocks the view of the ocean. To get to the ocean you have to walk around the hotel and across the parking lot. Security was poor with all the exterior doors left open all the time, but it helped keep the smell down. It did not help what we thought was a fair price when we had to pay to park on the hotels parking lot,local calls or the safe we didn't use.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 31Overpriced, Broken Down and Unclean
The elevator was down for SCHEDULED maintenance, something that definitely should have been disclosed before hand. The carpet and tile was so dirty that we wouldn't let our son walk barefoot on it. The price of the hotel was high enough to where we thought we were going to be staying in a nice, clean hotel ... Not a 6th floor walkup with filthy floors and a phone that wasn't even plugged in.
