Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 8Stuck in their own glory day minds!
The hotel was nice and the new upgrades to the rooms are very modern and nice. BUT, they think that they are "all that and a bag of chips" and they are not! Their an hotel that in it's hey day - in the 30's or 40's was THE center of the elite. Unforuntely, their attitude shows it. This is probably a great hotel for weddings and stuff, but not very good for business travelers. There is no wi-fi in the rooms (and the 3 foot ethernet cable is a joke!) When I called to get a longer cable, they sent me the exact same kind, then said there were NO other cables in the hotel. The staff at the hotel was friendly, but didn't seem to really care about solving any problems. It was kind of like "we're the coolest hotel in town - in our own minds - so while we hear you, we're not going to really do anything about it to fix it." Personally, I'd rather be told "no, that's not something we do" vs. the patronizing and pretending I got! Finally, the tub in my room was dirty when I got there and was never really cleaned during my stay. Again, it seemed as if the cleaning staff was just half-assing it and thinking that "good enough" truly was! It's not a flea bag hotel or a bad place, but I will not stay there again because of the lack of business person perspective, but more because of the "holier than though" type of attitude.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 8Disappointing Hotel
Upon arrival, hotel staff offered to get someone to help with our bags. We readily agreed, but no one came so we had to handle it ourselves which was difficult with our infant in tow. There was one person working at the front desk, so we had to wait about 10 minutes to check in. When we got to our room, the bathroom light didn't work so we had to call for repair. Furthermore, the shower did not look at all clean. I might also note that with the closure of Interstate 64/40, traffic getting to and from the hotel was exceptionally bad. Overall, in light of the cost of the hotel, I expected much more and was quite disappointed.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 8Overpriced
Service is good but room was small and music and noise could be heard from a nearby ball room. Overall, too much money for what you get.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 8Disappointing
Non-smoking hotel however the corridor to our room had a strong odor of smoke. Although reported, the issue was not resolved. Additionally, there is no wireless internet available in the room making it impossible to use two computers simultaneously, a tremendous inconvenience to us.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 8Construction
Everything about the chase is great, but there is construction going on and there were some loud noises late into the night and early in the morning.
