Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 37A Disapointment
My friend and I got a room for a relaxing trip to the city. I have done this at other area hotels and had much better experiences. The rate did not include any breakfast services- even a water and a donut would have been nice. Another hotel I stayed at gave us bath robes and a full breakfast buffet. I also didn't think the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were sub-par. The location was great but I asked the staff a few questions about area restaurants and attractions and they were very unhelpful- even rude

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 37Not as nice at the pictures suggest
I think this hotel is way overpriced for what you get. When I walked into the lobby I thought it was going to be an exceptional stay but once you get off the elevator onto your floor, the carpet looks like that of a rundown hotel that costs half as much per night. The guy at the desk looked at me like I wasn't worthy to be there and I'm dressed just as professional as he is! The beds were comfy but that was about all. I also wasn't happy with having to pay $10 a night for parking either, not with how much we paid for the room, and the parking garage is built for SmartCars only...my little car had a hard time parking so I can only imagine how someone with a small SUV would feel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 3 of 37:(
We found many things we didn't care for. If you don't use the valet parking, be prepared to walk. The air conditioning unit in our room was so loud, we couldn't sleep and the Sleep Number beds were terrible. Rooms need a face-lift. Also, something other than Maxwell House coffee would have been nice. Don't ask the front desk for directions...didn't seem to know the area. The only plus was room service. Excellent food.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 37Hotel needs to be remodeled for the price we paid.
The area is wonderfully located close to I-80 with a ton of great restaurants close. The staff was wonderful too, I just expected more out of the room. The room needed some cosmetic work done around the molding, in the bathroom and such. Not as nice as I expected for a 4 star rating.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 37Service Needs Improvement
Reception was sub par. No interest in helping me find how to get around. Offered no info on bus, train, walking trips. Removed my newspaper from the room; no service people that could speak English to find a replacement newspaper. Room service was OK, not great - no salt and pepper with order and on another occasion, no crackers with salad order. Room service delivery person was very nice, but, so what. I expected more. Probably would not stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 37Really great hotel except parking..
Paying $10 per night for parking was a negative. I found another hotel just down the street that is also very nice but they provide free parking (I stayed there one night for a few dollars less). That is why I rated the hotel very high but will not recommend it. I paid $30 for parking. The hotel however was very nice, the people were very nice. Sleep number beds and pillows were great too.

The hotel staff was not friendly at all. We stayed because of the rate and they advertised the Sleep Number Bed. Well the sleep numbe remote didn't work and we had a Maintenance Man in our room for a good hour fixing it and finally had to replace it. He had to climb around on our bed to get it fixed. The door was busted in the bathroom and the glasses that were supplied in the room had rings around the rim of the glass and we didn't dare drink out of them. When I called the hotel the day of our stay to ask if we would get a sleep number bed, the woman in reservations was very rude and abrupt and said we would not know until check-in time. She acted like we were a pain! I would never stay in another Radisson Hotel... it was rundown.. and not that clean...

I went to a confernce at this hotel and was impressed by the oveall atmosphere and food. After staying there I would say that I will not do so again. The check-in was very slow, the room was definatly not worth the price, the pool was cold and the bed was horrible!! The selling point for my husband and I was the "Sleep Number Bed" which was not at all comfortable. At first I could not get it to work so I had to call maintenance, who showed up very quickly and was helpful. But still it did not work properly. The high point was the Great Breakfast.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 37Great location, but some problems with the room...
Was not impressed. Room seemed dirty. Shower head was broken. Alarm clock was difficult to figure out when it went off at 5AM (not set by us...). I was then billed for the night by the hotel despite the fact that I had already paid through hotels.com. The man at the desk fixed that and then didn't charge us parking, but, other than that perk and the location, I was not impressed.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 37Our stay
I disliked the parking and the rates at which they cost at this time. The restaurant is still under construction which was okay the temp spot that we ate at was nice and quiet. The roomservice was very prompt. They quoted us a time and were there to the minute. The bed was amazing for us both. After some work finding the comfort zone it was great.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 37Terrible service for a reasonable price
You get what you pay for; a reasonable price for two in a downtown hotel gets you a room that is not clean at a 4 PM check-in and is not cleaned at all the following day, front desk staff who don't answer the telephone, and minimal lobby or community space to share with a large family group traveling together.

Carpets were worn and needs to be replaced. They charge $10 for parking and no breakfast is offered.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 37Great hotel, awful beds
The Radisson in Salt Lake is a very nice hotel with a competent, friendly staff and a great location, particularly if you need to be in the Temple Square area. However, the highly advertised Sleep Number beds are awful! We really considered not staying there on the basis of our friends' experience with the Sleep Number bed (they hated it), but decided "how bad could it be for 2 nights?", especially since the location was so perfect for our purposes. It was so bad, my wife slept the second night in the recliner and I slept on the floor! Even our young granddaughter, though very amused by pumping her bed up and down, complained that she couldn't sleep. If you have a Sleep Number bed and like it, the Radisson is a very nice hotel. Otherwise, I find it hard to recommend.
