Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 20Disappointing Accomodations
After reading the reviews on the web site we booked the Pavillion Inn for a one night stay. The first room we were given had beds built on wooden platforms and the beds were extremely hard. The grout in the tile in the bathroom was black in places and the overall cleanliness was unsatisfactory. We spoke with the 1 front desk clerk and he said that he did not know anything about the cleanliness and the housekeeping staff had gone home by now. He "thought" some beds had a pillowtop and were softer. We tried a 2nd and 3rd room and finally found one with softer beds (without the wooden bases-not really platforms), and less mold on the tile. The furnishings were very minimal and we had thought this would be a step up from the budget chains. Not so!

The motel was old with no refrigerator or microwave. The bed sagged in the middle and the furniture came out of the 50's. They had coffee and cold drinks available 24 hours with cookies after 3:00. Also internet available in the lobby. Breakfast area was very small but the breakfast was adequate.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 20Should not be a 3 star hotel...terrible staff, and dirty room
The CONS: This hotel was NOT what we expected, even for the price. First of all, it is not a 3 star hotel. I would not even give it a two. The pool was freezing, and the staff ran out of pool towels! Our room was freezing, and my son had gotten sick and thrown up on the bedding, so we asked for more. They told us that they didn't have the key for the extra bedding closet! How ridiculous is that?!? My 11 month old son had to stay awake until we could wash his bedding in the one washer and dryer that they had, and THEN he could sleep with a blanket! The staff was very rude, and not helpful at all. The bed in our room was filthy. The mattress had a huge brown stain all down the side of it, and the blankets (the little that we had) had holes. It was gross. The toilet made a LOUD noise for about 5 minutes after flushing. The whole room was dirty, and we were quite unhappy with it, and the hotel staff in general. The PROS: The continental breakfast was quite good, and the laundry (one washer and dryer) were complimentary. Other than that, the hotel was not up to par. Would not recommend, and will not stay again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 20It's okay, but just okay.
The hotel was overall okay, the two things I was not satisfied with were the temperature of the pool and the breakfast. The pool was too cold for anyone and breakfast was not very good. They had a lot of choices, but the food was of medium quality. Staff seemed somewhat indifferent to their customers but we did get a free crib. Our main draw was the breakfast and pool and those did not meet our expectations, therefore I wouldn't go there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 20Never again
The guest service was terrible. The vending machines took my money. The smoke detector battery was low and kept beeping and no one would change it. The guest service desk did nothing about Very Loud and obnoxious people in the pool area who were yelling, running, screaming all day and night and I could here them in my room which was at the opposit end of the hotel and the second floor. Would never stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 20Great staff and location, bathrooms need updating.
Staff was excellent. Room was tidy; but needs updating. All seemed clean, but bathrooms really need updating, didn't feel comfortable bathing baby in tub, had old tub mat. Breakfast was better than average "free" breakfast, nothing fancy.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 20Not a 3 star room
Needs upgrading. Beds were very old and bathroom smelled. We expected more for a 3 star price. Hotel staff was very nice.

Well we have stayed at this hotel 3 times and usually it's ok, But this time wasn't so good. hardly any of the lights in the room worked, and there was hair in the drain and mold around the bath tub and the floors on the stairway and halls were dirty evn though they ha just been cleaned and than when I went down stairs to use the ice machine there were pizza boxes everywhere and pizza on the floor. And than every door was locked. There's one way in and one way out. But I will say that the breakfast is decent.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 20Lack of Security
Nice room, nice people. Great breakfast buffet for free. Fairly close to skiing. BUT -the lights in the parking lot are not always on at night and there are no security cameras. Somebody broke into our car and stole our skis and snowboards. The cop said the hotel gets hit all the time but there was no sign in the lobby warning you to bring everything in at night. The person at the desk didn't appear to be too concerned like it was no big deal. The cop told us there is a bad neighborhood near the hotel.

Room was very dark even with all the lights on. Also, the heating system was very noisy.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 20Not sure if we will stay again...
I was not expecting anything fabulous and was actually impressed when I first walked in. The pool and spa are open 24 hours, coffee, tea and hot chocolate along with cookies are too (great when you have been driving all day and night). The reception staff was friendly and upgraded our room. The beds however were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I think one was broken and the other was almost there. We stayed four nights and each morning we woke up sore. The heater worked like a charm, within a couple minutes our room was toasty warm. We did look forward to breakfast every morning, served from 6am - 10:30am. They provided waffles, bacon, biscuits, gravy, sausage, oatmeal, a yogurt bar, bagels and muffins. We certainly did not expect all this. It was a welcomed surprise! The elevator was broken two of the four days we were there. Not usually a problem, but I am pregnant and it wasn't much fun carrying bags and other things up three flights of stairs several times a day.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 20Didn't meet expectations...
For the amount that was paid for a night at this hotel, I didn't feel that it was justified. The room seemed to be very plain and not very well kept (clean). That even includes the parking lot. The breakfast wasn't all that great, either. The customer service was fine, but the hotel as a whole left for more to be desired.
