Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 8watch where you walk
Fortunately for our group, we have a friend in Louisiana who advised us when he dropped us off at the hotel, that the hotel is located very very close to an area of town that is less than desirable. However, 1 block the opposite direction and St Charles is a great street with eateries.

It's cute, but the only pictures wasn't what I got. WiFi only works in half the location, not my room. No individual climate control in your room. Don't get me wrong for a tiny little room, it was quaint. Great New Orleans feel to the place with the tables and chairs outside. Bathrooms need upgrading, desperately. Close to some decent restaurant/bars. Close to Canal (2 miles). It was very quiet, thank you. But I've stay in hotels 200 nights a year. Not the bang for the buck. Staff was nice. No overnight service though.

We would have liked a place to eat the breakfast in. The breakfast is served in the considerably small lobby and if we wanted to eat someplace other than our room we would have to endure the sun and humidity outside. Also, there are no elevators. However, the location couldn't be better.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 8Don't Waste Your Money
This hotel is a nightmare. While the actual building is in ok shape, the neighborhood is a mess. There is a dilapidated building adjacent to the parking lot. Despite the fact that it is in an "ok" area of the city (as I was told by locals), it borders on Central City which is NOT an ok area. I was staying alone, and spent much of my time jumping out of my skin at every sound i heard. There is a lot of road traffic noise. The lobby is locked once it gets dark to keep people from the outside from coming in. The rooms are tiny, the best are stiff. There are rooms on the backside of the hotel that face a dirty alley (where my room was located). There was also someone (or something) pounding on a back gate for about an hour at three in the morning, which was just lovely. The few saving graces were that the staff was very friendly and the shuttle from the airport was cheap.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 8rude staff and poor housekeeping
called for towels repeatedly and never recieved any. staff was extremely rude. the girl who checked me in did not run my credit card, against what i later learned was hotel policy. message was left by hotel staff on hotel phone about a problem with the card i gave them for a deposit for room damage. i was gone the rest of the day and did not receive the message. when i returned, the hotel was tryng to change the keys to the room, even though the room was already prepaid for two nights. when i called the manager to complain, she was unapologetic, despite admitting that the mixup was the hotel's fault.

Picture online looks better than it is in person. I had 2 rooms and the second didn't have a refrigerator. For a fair price sure. I did not get the room I requested and I didn't receive any discount or apology. This hotel is made for couples only and not family . It's amazing how a picture can say 1000 words. Speaking on behalf of my sister and god-son, in the future we will not be spending it with Prytania Park Hotel. I've been to a few hotels in N.O. but for me this was the worse.

The room we got was not at all like the pictures. It was much, much smaller than it was portrayed. The free wireless internet only works in the rooms close to the office, so we had to change rooms. The shower was the worst I have ever taken. There was no water pressure. It was such a small trickle of water that it took about ten minutes just to rinse conditioner out of my hair.
