Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 91excellent value, great location
Stayed at the hotel for two nights and could not ask for a better value. It is in walking distance to the beautiful mansions in the Garden District, mere steps from the St. Charles Ave. with trolley service and great restaurants. Room was clean, continental breakfast just that. Staff was very friendly and recommended restaurants, printed maps and was very helpful finding a left behind bag. Would definitely return.

Nice place to stay for a night. A bit far from the nightlife (15-20 minutes walking), but located in a safe area.

Very unique outlay of room. Liked the atmosphere of the courtyard! Great neighborhood if you stay on st. charles. Dont stray too far away I would guess... Overall a great place!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 91Wonderful stay!
We were pleasently surprised to find that this hotel was as nice as it sounded on the internet. The staff was wonderful and the room beautiful (you have to have the loft!). Big plus was the free parking and the proximity to the trolley line. It's inexpensive and a great alternative to get to the French Quarter. We would stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans!

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 91Glad we stayed here
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. It's different from hotels I've stayed in before but I guess that's New Orleans, which is fine by me. The courtyard is more what I think of as a walkway but it was nice. Yes, the bathroom and the room itself were small but I knew that going in. It's New Orleans. I managed just fine. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The towels are good, the bed is comfortable, the shower works great and, very important to us, free parking in a nice lot. We couldn't get the wireless signal in our room but we used our laptop in the courtyard. No big deal really. We came to see the city, not work on the computer. We didn't have the breakfast but it looked expansive and very continental. More than sufficient I would say. I have no patience for people who whine about the breakfast. If you don't like it, there's a Burger King a block away. Speaking of which, there are several good restaurants within walking distance. And a laundrymat two blocks down with a very friendly owner. The streetcar was little disappointing. We caught it easily and went to the French Quarter. When it was time to come back, we wanted an hour before we finally took a cab which was only about 7 dollars. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience New Orleans.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 91Good Option
The hotel is a 15-20 min walk to the Conference Center and to downtown/French Quarter. Administration is very cordial and attentive. It is also close to restaurants and has a gym closeby. Overall, very good option.

The room was spacious and clean. But the breafast was terrible. No shampoo. The staff were very friendly though.

If your are into to quiet courtyards, stain wood, convenience restaurants and a very hot shower, then you would like this hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 91Great Hotel
We chose this hotel mostly based on the price and the loft. It was wonderful. The loft was as cool as we thought, and the location was very convenient. The staff was extremely helpful from everything to restaurant recommendations, to meeting our needs quickly. I just wish the bathroom had been a little bigger. Other than that, wonderful hotel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 91A Good Deal
We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay during a recent visit to new Orleans, and the Prytania Park fit the bill. We were in one of the queen loft rooms and ours was clean and very servicable. I didn't realize quite how small the bathroom would be, but otherwise no complaints. I can't say enough about the quality and friendliness of the staff and the overall charming character and feel of the hotel. We did not rent a car and if you are traveling at peak times the trolley can be quite the ride. On our next visit we will take advantage of the free parking and rent a car. If you are budget minded, confidently make your reservation at the Prytania Park, it won't disappoint.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 91Cozy Little Place
I fell in love with the look of this little place walking through the courtyard to get to the room. It was nice and quiet (quite a feat seeing how it is New Orleans). The room was the perfect size, not huge, but not tiny also. The perfect distance from the French Quarter. About a 10-15 min ride on the trolley which has a stop about 15 ft from the hotel. I very much enjoyed the stay there and can not wait to go visit New Orleans to stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 91A high three star hotel at a budget price
Prytania Park hotel seems to have the qualities of a good three star hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, but it has the nescessities, friendliness and convieniences as a good three star hotel. My experience was that the price is low for the quality of hotel. The room was roomy for the price. It was in a good neighborhood and convienient to downtown. The hotel staff was very nice. Wireless internet worked fine even in my room. I would suggest visitors bring their own shampoo & conditioner as they are not furnished in the room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 91Good value with few exceptions
The hotel is very convenient to cable car. And once on cable car you can get to almost anything. The parking is free! Continental breakfast - although minimal -is a good start to the day or another meal! Front desk was helpful. An all-round good deal. My only complaint is our room was dirty. Dirty in the sense that only a superficial cleaning had been performed. Examples: the refigerator was absolutely coated in dust and there was a stash of human hair under bathroom sink. It sounds pretty bad, I know, but everything else considered the value was there and I would recommend the hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 91A Pleasant Surprise
We expected this hotel to be adequate, but they far exceeded our expectations. This hotel is not an upscale property, but it is charming, clean and the service is excellent. Everybody was very friendly and eager to help. Especially deserving of recognition is Christine, who worked the front desk during the day. She was especially helpful in giving us guidance, directions and advice. She was very sweet to our little girl and was very patient even though we had LOTS of questions for her. Thanks, Christine! The room with a loft was nice as it had a queen bed on the main floor and 2 twins in the loft. We had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. There was a microwave, coffeemaker and fridge in the room as well. They have pastries and coffee in the office for breakfast for free, but also offer various sundries for purchase. The location is very convenient. It's within easy walking distance of the streetcar stop. Voodoo bbq is across the street and is a must visit. We definitely recommend this hotel. Next time we go, we might try one of their sister properties, the Prytania Oaks.
