I had a horrible stay at this hotel. Do not book a smoking room since there is no smoking allowed within a hundred feet of the place. You cannot shut the blinds at all and when the lights are on near the entrance or the sun comes up...you are going to be WIDE AWAKE. The mini bar was not locked and i refused the key before i got my room, so i have no idea if i got charged even though i informed them of it. Did not even notice a small blood stain on my pillow until the next morning. Lucky for me it was on the other side. Finally when i was leaving the garage very early in the morning, there was nobody to let anyone out of the garage. I am not kidding about anything I have posted here. Good luck to whoever checks into this overpriced dump!

Big Oops.

Everything was great exept for the incident where I checked in, then left for a few hours, and upon returning, they had allowed someone else to check into my room, and so the housekeeper removed my belongings from the room assuming that someone had inadvertently left them behind, without checking with the desk to see which guest was supposed to be checked into that room. Both my key and the other person's key worked for the room, so someone could've been in for a big surprise. And upon moving me to another room no apologies were made by management or a check to see if any of my belongings were missing, or compensation for the mistake on their part.

Beautiful Hotel, Poor service

Hotel was very Beautiful, Service was very poor was charged twice for the room, was returned after finding the problem and speaking to the manager, then when trying to leave we had to go back into the hotel, we could not get out of the parking garage becuase they never validated our statement that we had paid for the parking in the hotel, After we got back home they charge us twice again for the parking garage...

Horrible room for the Money

The hotel room not only had a view of the circular courtyard and other hotel room windows, but as a smoker I did detect a scent of smoke damage. Do not waste your money on this hotel. Not good for a romantic getaway.

The Hotel does so many things so well but falls down on so many others. eg - lovely wine hour in lovely room off lobby, beautifully decorated etc. but so cold that people wore overcoats whilst there because its directly opposite the lobby door and the wind whips in off the courtyard. design people? its boston, its near the river, its gonna be cold 4 months of the year! on the service side - our car was 'keyed' while with their valet. turns out that they park it in an unguarded public mall lot nearby. when the valet brought it he told me that it happens often but for us it was probably because we had new york plates. so a habitual problem is not addressed and its somehow acceptable that we pay $500 approx for car repair due to a baseball rivalry? or are we the first out of state or shock horror new yorkers to stay here....?

Great for dog lovers

Lots of big dogs staying there with lots of barking in the lobby as well as on our floor (could be heard in our room). Bigger problem was being given a room on the 3rd floor (with a lovely view) over a very loud party on Saturday night in the 2nd floor ballroom. They did agree to move us but at 10pm, not much was available - but they did eventually find us 2 choices, a room with no view facing the courtyard and a handicapped accessible room with a great view on the 7th floor which we took. The hotel person who moved us told us that they try not to put people in 3rd floor rooms when they have parties on 2 but that's what we received, checking in at 4pm. While the hotel was accommodating about the change, it was really inconvenient at 10pm. They also didn't tell us that there was an alternative to valet parking which is self parking at the mall next door, and the price I was quoted was for self parking - but they deducted the difference when I mentioned it upon checkout. Otherwise, the staff was efficient and helpful and the room was quirky and nice. It needs to work on a few things to be first rate. And don't stay there if you don't love big dogs.

Didn't know that I was staying in a kennel that advertised as a hotel

There were dogs virtually everywhere in the hotel. They were well groomed and on leashes, but we could hear barking in our room - it became obvious that the hotel with "doggie" treats everywhere and water pans was catering to the dog owners. There did not seem to be just one floor or one area of the hotel for dog owners they had the run of the place, including hospitality suites. Either I missed it in the listing that it was a co-habitation facility or it wasn't explained. We would chose another hotel in the future.
