They will nickel-and-dime you!!!

We got a good deal for this type of hotel. We didn't realize, however, that when you actually got there, you had to pay $20 to park unless you wanted to park for free down the block or do valet. And, after you park, you have to literally walk about a quarter mile to get to your room...no exaggeration, along the path that the cars enter. It was incredibly difficult to find our room; the guest services never told us how to find our room. We were disappointed that there was no complimentary internet in our rooms and that we had to go to the second floor to use the computer center. The internet charge was $9.95 and we refused to pay that, especially since the hotels we stayed in earlier in our vacation had free wi-fi. We considered ordering breakfast, but that was out of the question after we saw that just cereal and milk alone was over $8. We learned our lesson to never book this type of hotel again. We'll gladly stick with the Country Inn and Suites that we visited earlier.

Nice Lodging, too many surprises

The hotel was clean and well maintained, however, there were too many surprises waiting for us when we got there. The rooms were advertised with parking, but there was no mention having to pay for it. The Parking charges were much higher than anywhere else in the surrounding area. Also, we arrived around 8pm and the room we had reserved was not yet ready. They had no clean king rooms. We were offered a queen room or we could wait 30-60 minutes for a room to be clean. We thought we were getting a good deal, but when adding breakfast, parking and internet into the cost, it would have been better to stay somewhere else. The staff made no real attempt to help us when the concerns were brought up. I would not stay here again.

Parking FEES

We booked this hotel to be close to down town and walk. We were NEVER informed of the parking fees which are $20 a day!!! You can park anywhere else down town for $5-$10 a day. When we checked in we were told they took our credit card in case it was needed. No explantion given. We thought; room service, movies that kinda thing. We had no idea it was for parking!! When we printed our reservation off the only "extra" fee that is mentioned on it is internet fee; which is crazy also. But nothing about parking at all. We brought it up at check out and their TEETH came out. They had a canned answer and did not care AT ALL. They pretty much brushed us off. They turned a great experience into a horrible one for $40! Don't fall for it!!! However, if you stay else where you have gotta eat at Ted's Montana grill! Its AWESOME!

Price is not worth the inconvience

The hotel is decorated nice and beds are comfy. The hotel charges you for internet use per day and daily parking. I drove in for a convention that was going on Fri- Mon and wish I had stayed at my usually hotel in Buckhead. Things that annoyed me was the parking, some of the front desk staff had major attitudes and waiting for a bell boy. All and all I think the hotel price was way to high and had too many inconviences.

Sub par experience

I must say that I have been to a number of hotels in my life and this was one of the least enjoyable experiences ive ever had. I came into the weekend understanding that it was vday weekend but it wasn't much of an excuse. If I have to pay a premium price then I at least want to enjoy myself. The beds were rock hard. They had 1980s era zenith tvs with bad reception. I brought a bottle of champagne and told them to bring an ice bucket to the room and put the bottle in it but when we got to the room later that night the bottle was sitting right next to the bucket of ice. I wasn't expecting anything over the top but they couldn't even deliver basic services properly.

Not What We Expected

Self Parking was not include in the room and was not disclosed at checkin. You had to walk by the cars entering the parking garage to get into the hotel. The location was not impressive. The breakfast in the dinning room was VERY overpriced. Just not a good experience.

Needs improvement

The room they gave us was very noisy and did not have any kind of veiw whatsoever. We were supposed to have a frig and microwave but they did no come with the room.

Needs a lot of improvment

I am not sure when this hotel was built, however it is really shabby. The elevator by my room stopped working after 5pm when I arrived at the hotel and they never repaired it. The front desk staff were very rude. If I was not attending a work event, I would have left.

not worth the money

Pros: the front desk staff, conceirge, and doorman were all very helpful and welcoming. the breakfast buffet was great and pool area was nice. Cons: old tv, old scratched furniture; our room had no tissues, no coffee maker, there was crumbs behind the toilet, it looked like someone had been sitting on the bed when we first got there, and the room was very small. Overall not impressed for the price of the room.

Some Strangeness

Decent hotel, decent room. My coworkers and I ran into some strangeness, though. One day two engineers were right outside my room, tearing the door handle off of a guest room door. When I came back from my meetings, the handle was on the floor, the engineers were nowhere to be found, and another employee was standing there telling us that we couldn't enter our rooms until the engineers returned. One of my coworker's door was unlocked as well. After 20 minutes or so, they let us into our rooms. Nothing was missing, but a strange experience nonetheless

Don't stay here unless you need an Indoor Pool

We chose this hotel because we needed to stay somewhere that had an indoor pool, so our kids could get some release some energy while we were traveling. Atlanta had limited hotels with indoor pools, probably because of it's typically temperate climate....of course we were in Atlanta in November and it was cold and rainy. Anyways, I would avoid this hotel. It needs LOTS of renovations, the rooms were TINY! and the service was less than adequate. OVERPRICED and OLD! Stay somewhere else, unless you need the indoor pool!

Disappointed

When we first arrived, at 9 pm, our room was not ready! They gave us a room on the first floor which later we discovered opened to a parking lot! And also had a driveway over it and all night we heard a rumbling noise. The manager in the morning promised to move our luggage when another room became available. When we got back to the hotel at night, around 10 pm, he had not fulfilled his promise. The manager on duty, however, promptly took care to move us as quickly as possible. The new room had a noisy heater. Within an hour maintenance fixed the problem and the manager was quite nice about it. Finally that night I had a good nights sleep. But I will never return to that hotel... it certainly did not live up to the reputation which I expected and it was far too expensive for what it had to offer.

Not what I expected

First, the good: The staff was nice, and the beds were good, and the room clean. The hotel entrance and facilities were quite nice and upscale. Not so good: The room was rather small, and had a view of the dingy roof outside. I felt a giant sucking sound leaving the parking garage ($30 for one night, not even Valet parked!). The hotel is basically surrounded by ghetto (it's Atlanta after all).
