Traveling through Europe with children seems to be harder than traveling with pets...not all places will take your kids, but most will take your dog.Having a family of 4 makes things a little more challenging, but this B&B was perfect for us!Tucked away in the Italian Alps, this rustic villa is the perfect place for passing through town.We spent one night there and the view was incredible!(Not from our window, but from the grounds of the B&B.We had a family room, the Daniella.It had a large bedroom with a Queen size bed and then steps up to the loft where the children slept.There were two twin mattresses up there and my girls loved it.It was like there private little nook.The stairs were very steep, but for kids it was perfect.If you have toddlers this would not be a good room, but for 7 and up it is very appropriate.It is on the outskirts of Trento so to get to a restaurant it is a few miles, but worth it for the experience of staying at a real working winery.I would stay again, especially for the price! (Breakfast was very light but is expected for European standards)

If you want to see rural Italy, this minimal bed and breakfast is worthy of consideration, primarily because of its location. It is located approximately 2 miles outside of Trento, Italy on a hillside. We had to take a taxi to find it, but after that we used public transportation (it was a 20 minute walk down the mountain to the nearest bus station). Our room was comfortable, but sparse. Our host did not speak English, but we managed to make ourselves understood. The breakfast in the morning was minimal: coffee/tea, a pastry of some type, bread and butter. There is a restaurant in the facility, but it is closed Monday and Tuesday. However, you are getting to stay at a working vineyard and the surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Trento itself is a hidden secret in Italy with a number of beautiful things to see and a minimum of tourist activities. However, if you stay at this location have an automobile or be prepared for strenuous hiking up and down mountain roads.
