Misleading

Hotel was advertized as having 'soaking tub'. In actuality, the tub was barely larger than a standard tub/shower arrangement. The only difference was this tub was slightly (and I mean 'slightly') deeper than a normal tub. The room size was dissappointing. A 'Corner Deluxe One bedroom suite' was large in name only. The bed, comfortable as it was, barely fit in the room. The sitting room was small and the couch was not comfortable. I was told this was the largest style room in the hotel. If so, the rest of the rooms must be tiny.

Attention paid to the wrong details

What surprised us most about the hotel was the apparent lack of training and/or interest the staff had in customers. When I phoned the hotel the day before our arrival I was told that the restaurant was open until 10.30pm, so it was a surprise to see it closing at 9.30pm when we arrived. The breakfast servers seem to specialize in making sure you got the check before finishing the food, whilst ignoring the freshly prepared (and warm) food in the over air-conditioned room and our many requests for additional coffee / coffee cups. Even more surprising was the confusion that seemed to reign when we asked the reception staff to add our late arriving friend to the list so they could receive a key. it was a clean hotel with fair sized rooms - no complaint about that, but i do want to let you know that the front door is next to a bar advertising Swedish female dancers - not the best experience when traveling with your mother.

Interesting.....

for all families I thought this was alarming. Right next to the hotel is a strip club and at night it gets rowdy with males outside. I witnessed a brawl over a stripper and a male customer in the street! Not a pleasant thing for your children to see. Other than that a very clean and well kept hotel. The valet could have been a bit more friendly.

Don't Arrive Late!

We wanted a nice hotel room. What we got was a suite of two tiny rooms adjoined by a coffee bar leading into a nice bathroom. Sounds swell? Well, the good queen bed took up the bedroom, and having to spend time in the bedroom because my husband was sick, it felt like a closet. We had arrived at midnight and were simply too tired to complain and move. As for room service, if you want fresh-squeezed orange juice (on the menu) don't order it -- it's horrible.

Smoker's Stay Away

While the property is nice, the service good, we were told we would have a smoking room. When we got there we were told there were none but they offered a 'patio suite' for addition cost. I agreed and once we got to the room, the patio was actually the room of the room below. There was not seating, no table, no cover(and it rained the whole time we were there, just standing out on a roof. Not exactly what I would call a patio suite. It ruined the whole stay for us.
