Doubletree Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando

Great Hotel

Hotel was great, the staff was great, everyday we walked to Universal, or for breakfast/dinner I love that everything was so close to the hotel. My only problems with the hotel I reserved a king smoking room, when i got there all they had left was doubles. also in the room was lots of coffe but no coffee pot. We are easy going people so that stuff was no big deal. But loved the hotel and loved the area would stay there again.

Great!

Although it was a short stay and we could not utilize the entire hotel, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the location is perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding Hotel

The rooms i got was great the cost was good. plus it couldnt get better then it being right in front of the park. Let me tell you something the beds in the rooms are very comfortable.

Clean, very close to park, but fee for parking stinks

I would've given the Hotel a nearly perfect rating were it not for the surprise fee of $12.58 / night for the luxury of parking my car. There was no garage, just a parking lot, and it wasn't small. I was given the option to self-park or valet but wasn't told that the self-park option was an additional charge. I could understand this were the hotel in a busy downtown area and they had a parking garage, but it's an unexpected and unnecessary fee in this situation. The hotel was fine in every other way with a great view of the parks.

Exactly what we were looking for

Great price, was able to walk to main attractions, checking in and out was a breeze, overall simple, easy and perfect. Also received warm baked cookies upon arrival - no joke.

It was okay

This Doubletree is okay for the money, I suppose. The pool wasn't that great, which is one of the reasons we went. Needed cleaning. Staff was great and location is practically walking distance to Universal.

Very nice

I only spent one night, but the room was very clean. The lobby was in need of new furniture and was not being kept up. The staff was nothing to brag about, but they did their jobs. The location to the parks and places to eat was certainly a plus.
