Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 11Lack of Charm
The front desk staff was very aloof. There daily construction, I imagine remodelling of some type that made for loud drill, sawing, and pounding from 10 am to 6 pm. The rooms were cute and stylish.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 11Just okay
The hotel was fine, but hardly could rate as a four star facility. Our "superior" was small, but clean, if you don't count finding a prior occupant's underwear in the drawer as a negative. The bed, pillows and towels were nice and the room even had a nice flat panel television; though, only three of the stations were in English (some limited versions of the BBC, CNN and CNBC). Avoid the restaurant next door, as the food is average and the service terrible. Hotel staff was friendly at check-in. They offered us no advice about places to visit or good restaurants, and were always on the phone when we tried to ask later. After that, our only request was for a 120V adapter (which their brochures suggests are available for guests), but for three continuous days they were always checked out by other guests. On the bright side, the location is very convenient. But light sleepers be warned: do not expect a lot of sleep as it is very loud outside and the double windows only muffle the noise. Overall, this hotel was not a good value for the price and I personally would not stay there again.

The hotel was nice, great location, but our room was really dark. The lighting was very poor, even in the bathroom.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 11Needs Improvement
The first room we had an odor from the sewer right up into the room. We had to have the housekeeper as soon as we went in. The room was smaller than the others, and we were told that we could UPGRADE if we paid additional money. The curtains were ripped with large holes in it. Thank goodness we didn't have to stay more than two days!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 11Don't stay here...
The hotel had 4 starts and was convenient to most attractions which is why we chose to stay here. But, the water in the shower didn't maintain a constant temperature and ranged from freezing cold to very hot. On our last day, for some reason the toilet didn't fill up with water and, therefore, would not flush. The in-room TV had only 4 channels in English, which would have been all right except the only choices were 2 sports channels and 2 news channels. Also, avoid the hotel restaurant. At best the food there is only mediocre and definitely over-priced!

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 11Very very loud
On a very very busy street and the noise level is almost unbearable. Cannot open your windows at night and sleep because of the sound level. There in March and no a/c working so needed air. Bathroom floor could have been cleaner. Front desk not very helpful unless you ask specific questions.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 11Great location on Las Ramblas where all the action is.
Major problem with the otherwise quite nice hotel, was that it was very small room. Staff at front desk was very efficient. Quite clean.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 114-Stars?
The Royal Ramblas is a solid 3-start hotel, but did not meet my expectations of 4-start, based on other European hotels. Rooms are small (typical for Europe, but smaller than the other 4 star hotels we stayed at). Housekeeping is acceptable, but they seemed to skimp on replacement soaps and tissues. The TV could not get a stable picture on the only English language channel. However, location is excellent!
