Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 25Needs updating
This hotel has so much potential. It's very cute. It's in a good area, has a nice pool, and provided a great little breakfast which was included. But our room had an odor which may have been a cleaning product of some kind. The furnishings were old and dingy. The worst were the drapes and bedding. Spend a little money and buy new ones! I would have recommended this place if the room didn't smell and the drapes/bedding didn't look like they were from the 1970's. And I don't mean retro. They were worn and discolored.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 25literally stinks!
The outside of this hotel looks inviting, but our room literally stank! It reeked of a strong chemical smell, and all of the interior furnishings obviously needed to be replaced years ago. Our bedspread was disgusting, and the sheets were so old that there were holes from the wear and tear. The hotel is actually situated to have a very nice view of San Juacinto mountain behind Palm Springs, but the unpruned trees in front of our room window prevented us from enjoying the view. Breakfast was decent, although the breakfast room is extremely small and very hot (there is a woman in an adjacent room baking bread, and it really heats up the breakfast eating area). The bottom line is this: don't stay here unless they complete a floor-to-ceiling renovation of all the rooms.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 25Just ok
The hotel showed some signs of being run down, from the outside lights on the palm trees never came on at night,to the bathroom that needed remodeling, and the front desk people were not very friendly....

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 25Not worth the low price
Although price was low, it wasn't worth it. The shower curtain smelled sour, the sliding glass patio door was broken, the room smelled musty. The old, ragged and moldy astro-turf was an eyesore. The "continental" breakfast was always "out of" one item or another. And you had to listen to the grounds maintenance crews loud machinery all day, every day. Not at all relaxing. Sorry, but not worth the low price. Spend ten more bucks a night somewhere else and you'll be glad you did.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 25Needs improvement
Hotel is far from downtown. Very noisey and unclean. When we checked in we were not given the room we requested at time of booking. Also we had to call front desk for a shower curtain. Staff very unfriendly. So called breakfast was horrible. Pool and jaccuzi dirty.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 25Great location, but not a great hotel
I stayed here for a bargain, and now I understand why. I don't expect 5-star luxury--or even 2-star accomodations--at a discount place. The hotel is old and needs some work. I can forgive that. The staff were a little weird, but not rude. I can forgive that. But the room was, well, a bit on the scary side. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and it was a decent size, but it just felt really grimy. The carpet, linens, and curtains were all stained/discolored. Even with the fan on all night, there was a lot of noise from folks wandering the halls and from upstairs. The shower oscillated between freezing cold and scalding hot. Remembering the negative comments from previous raters, I didn't even attempt the breakfast. I just checked out and left as soon as I could. The location, I will say, is extremely convenient, and it's at least somewhat off the most major thoroughfares (though there was still a good amount of audible traffic). However, there are definitely nicer places nearby, and next time I'm going to spend the few extra bucks and stay at one of them instead.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 11 of 25Did not meet my expectations...
Hotel in need of upgrade...elevator has oder related to old carpeting. Can't use microwave and coffee maker at same time. I should have spent a few dollars more for better quality...

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 25Right hotel; wrong price
The hotel is fine if you were staying at a budget place, but for something in this price range we expected more. The 2 "queen" beds were 2 full beds, so for 4 of us that was very tight. The room was very small. There was a dresser, small TV, refrigerator, small desk with 2 chairs and a small microwave all crammed in there, so there was no place to walk. The bathroom was tiny, and the hotel showed its age everywhere. I am 6'2" and the shower head was level with my shoulder, so a shower was a chore. The beds were very uncomfortable and squeaked every time you moved on them. The pool area seemed nice and clean with lots of lounge chairs, although, we didn't swim. The breakfast consists of cold cereal, donuts and pastries, toast, apples, bananas, and waffles you can make fresh. The prep are is way too tight, and I decided to wait for 15 minutes for others to clear out rather than fight the crowd. If we had paid a budget hotel price, I would have expected this hotel and been happy with it. However, we paid more for a reason, and didn't get what we paid for.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 25Street Traffic noise
I was trying to get away for the weekend and relax. The noise from the street was loud busy intersection. Everytime someone opened their door it sounded like someone was trying to enter my room. The maid service was extremely loud and slamed doors starting at 8 am. I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and at 11 the maid service called my room to se if I wanted to have my room serviced! It was pretty stupid. I will be finding another hotel when I return.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 25Not worth the price
I stayed there for one night. The rooms have a shared door to the room next to them. I was awoken at 1:30 by the neighbor being loud and I am a light sleeper. I could hear the beeps on their microwave. They were loud until 3:30. The attendant said there was really nothing he could do. I would have much rather paid $20 - $30 more to stay in a hotel that I could get peaceful sleep.
