needs improvement on sound insulation, amenities

we stayed to the Sheraton, because we've had good experience with the chain previously. However, This sheraton was not well laid out. we had to walk through the hotel's hallways, through wedding receptions, to get to the resturant (Tuns). Once outside, you had to circumvent the entire hotel to get to the outlets or anywhere else. Most annoying was their response to our extremely loud and annoying neighbor. He was apparently having a great time at 3000 decibels at 4 am. It took 3 phone calls to get response from security! we will not be returning.

Way to far on cut backs!

The only thing you were getting for the high price of the room was the room. I was not happy with my stay this year and will stay somewhere else next year!

Don't Stay Here

My stay was horrible from the minute we arrived. I had requested a smoking room with the girl at hotels.com said this hotel had. When i went to check in I was informed this was a smoke free faciliy. I dont smoke but my friend does and this totally ruined our stay. The hotels location was horrible and parking was a mile away from the hotel and you had to pay for it. Once in the room the handle on the bathroom door fell off we had no hot water and the room had someones old used razor on the floor near the bed. We got moved to a different room that wasnt really anything better. I will never book with hotels.com or stay at this hotel again.

AC a Bust for us

With a convention at the AC convention center, and new outlet shops in AC, called The Walk, we thought staying at the Sheraton would be a good location. We were very disappointed. The Sheratons only lounge was not open on Sunday, so we had nowhere to relax and enjoy a drink without going outside of the hotel. The breakfast at their facility was very expensive and not at all a value, so again we had to go outside. Their ads claim an on-site restaurant, but that again requires going outside of their facility, since it is an independent restaurant, Tun Tavern. Rooms were nice, that is the only positive thing we can say. Parking also expensive ad not included in stay.

The comforters and the bed were not in par with the hotel stars i.e. 3 1/2 stars.

Needs Improvement

I stayed in AC for 3 days in hot August with two children. The swimming pool was out of service for one full day with no explanation. I stayed on the club room floor which was a plus since you were able to get cereal, bagels, juice etc for breakfast each day. Housekeeping didn't do a great job. On my next summer trip to AC I will try another hotel.

Beware of "extra" cost

all i can say is to be aware of "extra" cost, first, you have to pay to park your car in the garage ($12 + tax) a day, you would think that if you stayed at the hotel it would be free or factored into your rate, then second, none of the rooms have a fridge or microwave(unless you request, an "extra"$25) so be prepared to eat out alot(and do not bring a doggy bag because you can't heat it up!!) I stayed on the 9th floor, good view of the city and parts of the ocean, but the ice machine was broke(actually removed) from the floor and so i had to go down a level to get ice, i mean if i was staying at a cheaper hotel i'd understand, but not at a Sheraton, it was just totally unacceptable and i will not return, i would suggest the hilton or even the tropicana
