Needs Improvment

The hotel service was great. The room itself was not that great.

Tiny showers

The hotel was good, but in our room they only had a TINY shower. I have two children and it was very hard for us to bath.

Good room for the money

The hotel service was not stellar, but we were comfortable the majority of the time. Several times we left and came back to find our room with the bed still unmade and no clean towels. Other than that, it was comfortable enough. Continental breakfast was not extremely imaginative but it did the job. Desk service was fine, but no one was overly welcoming.

Great Location

Location is great for downtown activities, but it definitely needs a facelift

OVERALL, IT WAS ALRIGHT

I WANTED A PLACE WITH A POOL, CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AND BE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF ENERGY SOLUTIONS ARENA, SO THAT WAS GOOD, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE ROOM WASN'T WORTH WHAT I PAID. SMELLED LIKE CIGARETTE SMOKE, LIGHTS ABOVE SINK DIDN'T WORK HALF OF THE TIME AND A/C WOULD GO ON AND OFF SPORADICALLY, DESPITE THE TEMPERATURE SETTING. OVERALL, IT WAS ALRIGHT.

Needs Improvement

The location of the hotel is good. It's just a walking distance to the convention center. Breakfast is good. The customer center is good. The room has a noisy air conditioner and stops after a few minutes.

Misleading, overpriced, dirty place, no customer service

Well, let's start with the confusing entrance and lack of style. Then, we got there and even though it said "PET FRIENDLY" on the website, they charged us an additional $20 to have the dog stay (what are we to do, leave her in the car?!?). When we stepped into the room, it was rank smelling and underfurnished. The TV sat a foot below the bed, so you couldn't even lie in bed and watch TV. Tiny shower, poor-grade shampoo. We needed to get directions to the concert we were going to, and the guy at the Front Desk had no idea what he was telling us (he pulled up directions from his cellphone!). We got there late because of this moron. That being said, the goods: Nice swimming pool, walk-in-to-your-room parking, and friendly employees. This place made our one-night stay in Salt Lake City a terrible adventure. Never come here!!!

The People

The people that worked there are very nice.

too loud

The walls and doors were so thin. we heard everyone who walked past all night long. You could hear everyone on al sides ncluding those above you. We could not wait to leave.

The place smells bad

This is a very old motel with old plumbing, old everything. They were doing construction in the lobby the day we arrived, very messy and loud. Staff was plesant. Bathrooms old, carpet old, air conditioning very LOUD.

The bed and pillows were terrible. Very Hard! The in-room air conditioner was very loud every time it turned on.

Not Happy with hotel.

I was traveling with children and desided to use hotel.com because I thought that they checked out the hotels before listing them. I was very disappointed with the accommodations and the service. There appeared to be alot of cleaning people around yet the rooms were not real clean. When I asked any of them for something they said that they did not speak English. Another guest appeared as frustrated as I did. My children went to get in the outdoor pool and what appeared to be a "homeless person" was washing off. I tried to find another hotel in the area but it was a very busy time and there was no availability.
