Hotel needs remodel of interior and staff

The staff was just not trained or experienced. Not once when I entered and existed the hotel did anyone say hello or give me a smile or nod. They would not even open the door when I was approaching to leave or enter the hotel. When I approached the front desk staff within an hour to report the ice machine not working on my floor I was told in a very "short" tone to use the ice machine on another floor. The rooms are simply out dated and need upgrading. My room could not have been any smaller or it would have been a closet. The safe in the room was like an old time ice box. The Hilton Company needs to revamp immediately or sell it to the Comfort Inn or Motel 6.

Undercover

Well the hotel was beautiful and the staff was very polite, how ever there were fees charged to my credit card that I did not make. They pre-charge you for everything, and then upon check out they are supposed to only charge you for what you have used. I had no idea this was the case. I am still waiting obn my money to be put back on my card and I had check out of the hotel on Sunday. So be careful and definintly specify for them not to add fees on your card or you will be batteling with them like I am. However if these are not corrected my bank will be disputing this because I have the reciept they gave me upon checking out.

Poor Service, Political

Hotels should be based on customer service not political bias. We we tried to complain that they carried every cable news network other than Fox, they refused to provide me with a comment card, holding up a stack of similar complaints and indicating that they didn't want to hear that complaint anymore.

Needs some improvement, but good location

I had requested a room with two double beds. Instead, I was given a bed with a queen size bed and a roll away bed for the entire 3 nights of my stay. I was told that they don't have to guarantee me the room I booked and since there was a wedding party staying at the hotel, they would be unable to fulfill my room reservation. Rooms were incredibly small, so having the roll away in the room was incredibly difficult to maneuver around and have a place to put the luggage. The location was excellent if you are looking for something close to the Metro in a nice neighborhood. Staff was not very friendly or accommodating, though to their credit they covered the cost of the roll away. This hotel was not horrible; however, I did not have the kind of experience I expect from Hilton Hotels. Consequently, I would not recommend the hotel to others, especially if they have other options available.

Nice Hotel but not all that

For the most part this is a nice hotel. The only down fall was waking up to notice there was blood on the sheets and I wasn't bleeding! (luckily I didn't sleep on that side) and there was something "brown" on the same side of the sheets. Not a pleasant feeling. I kind of expected more from a "Hilton" why I have no clue!! The coffee in the room was not good (not a huge deal). They also fail to mention that there is a $35 additional valet fee for their "valet only" parking hmmm and no one tells you this until the next day when your card has been charged and you have already tipped the valet additional. Sorry I can park my own car! The staff at the hotel was extrememly friendly and inviting. Loved the MP3 alarm clock in the room (crazy but thats a bonus). Over all I would say stay here if you are desperate. If not there are other hotels within walking distance that are just as nice and cheaper. In my opinion, I want the most out of my money not waste it on a "name"

Needs some improveent to room amenities

Nice looking hotel, very charming and helpful staff, but small room, no hair drier, and exceptionally soft bed.

Great location, but they are cutting services

I enjoyed my stay and was pleased with staff, room, and proximity to the Metro. It is important to note that the hotel is cutting back on services like room service and newspapers to save money. Example: They no longer have room service after 10pm and breakfast starts later.

Hilton Embassy Row - could be better - needs help!

Not what I expected from a Hilton. Tiny room, needed new paint and better and more furniture (if there had been room for another chair!) No mini-bar, no hair dryer in the room, no robe or other amenities although it was a nice enough remodel, but not up to the usual Hilton standards...

Parking was 30.00 a day that was not revealed in the bio on the hotel. Asked is breakfeast was complimentary and was told Yes by bell hop. But after eating was given a bill for 20.00 a person for the same food you would have gotten free elsewhere!

Needs Improvement

This hotel actually charged extra for a SECOND person to stay in the room! Outrageous. Parking was very expensive and the rates were not posted where you can see them. I Paid for this thru Hotels.com and this hotel CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD AGAIN! Warning .. check your credit card statement if you stay here.
