Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort Hotel & Suites

Better than I expected for the rate.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The only thing we didn't like was the plastic between the mattresses. Every time one of us turned over, it woke the other up. We would definitely go back, though.

Great hotel for the money.

With the exception of the pool. It was small and needed some chemicals. It wasn't very clean. They also have a Tiki Bar on the first floor and it is very noisy. In fact at 3:15am, my phone rang and the hotel manager told me I had to quiet down as he had a number of complaints. I told him I had just gotten to sleep and he had the wrong room. I think the racket from the Tiki Bar lasted until very late about 2:00pm.

Good Value

We stayed two seperate nights at the start and end of our vacation. Both rooms were very clean. The beds were a little stiff and the tub drains had some rust around them. The first room we stayed in smelled of cigarette smoke in spite of the fact that the rooms had no-smoking signs in them. The second room was fine. The staff was polite and helpful. Considering that the hotel is surrounded by resort condos and hotels and only a couple hundred yards from the beach, it was great for the money.

left my purse at the bar after a few too many and everything was still in it and taken to the front desk.... i was so impressed!!!!

Decent, but no beach access

This hotel was ok for a place to sleep and shower, and the AC works well, but that's about it. If you are looking for No-frills cheap lodging, this place is excellent. My room had tile floors (even on the 3rd floor), so bring you flipflops unless you are into bare feet on a cold tile floor. We couldnt get to the beach eventhough it said 200yrds from the beach. But then it seemed that public beach access was difficult throughout Ft. Lauderdale - mostly condos and such directly on the beach.

Ok room for the money.

It was close to the beach which was nice but the sheets still had sand on them from the previous renters who went to the beach!

nice atmosphere

The hotel is exactly what I expected for the price I paid. My room was missing an iron, and there was no dead bolt lock on the door. My first night there, they gave my room away, and a group of people came in the room while I was in there. It was in a great location near the beach and there is a lot to do nearby. The beautiful palm trees and flowers I saw when I opened my door was all worth it.

Good room for the money

We lucked up on getting a corner room that had a hall, which made the room seem bigger. The bathroom tub didn't drain very well. The staff was nice, but when we first arrived at the hotel the guy at the front desk didn't give us any information about places to go eat or things to do that were close by. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice room for the cost

It was a little far from what I expected to de from Las Olas, but the room was clean and it was quiet. It didn't have a lot of front parking space, but we parked in the back of the hotel and it was ok. I will stay there again.

Outstanding Hotel

However the ammount of time that were actually in our room, it was great. The hotel bar was the perfect atmosphere. The bar tender John was great, I would recommend this hotel just for that alone.

Uncomfortable beds, bad housekeeping

The beds here are very, very cheap, uncomfortable and LOUD! Nice little tiki bar with great happy hour. Good food at the greek sandwich shop. Nice sized room, one block to beautiful beaches. Housekeeping was bad.

OK for the price

For the price it was in a good location and easy to get tp the beach. staff was nice but room was not too clean.
