Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 137Good price; clean but poor general maintenance
I will state the my room was clean. But there were nasty, large stains on the carpets, the toilet was leaking the whole time I was there despite the housekeeping note I left. Meals from room service were a joke. I ordered hot chocolate for an exorbidant price with a piece of carrot cake. The carrot cake was very good. The hot chocolate was a mug, a caraf of hot water and a bag of cheap powder.

The Orleans charges a mandatory daily fee for having a phone, coffee pot, fitness center available to use.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 137Rude and Unfriendly front Desk Manager
Booked hotel through hotels.com. Hotels.com allowed us to book king size room. We checked in about 45 minutes after we booked room and was told they did not have king size room. This seems ot happen a lot with hotels.com. Told front desk that we would never have booked if they didn't have the room we requested. After some debate, we were told they had smoking or handicap room. We chose handicap room. Big mistake. Terrible decor, old and needed updating. We would not stay here again and wuld not recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 6 of 137Needs to lower price
The Orleans is ok if you want to be away from the strip but could sure use a price reduction for its location. You can stay at a hotel on or closer to the strip for cheaper.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 137poor customer service
Booked for a non-smoking room but checked in late, around 10:30PM. Was informed that there wasn't any more non-smoking room available at the time of our check-in. We agreed for a one-night stay at the smoking room and the person on the front desk said we can check with them the next day after 12PM for an availabilty of a non-smoking room. Didn't sleep at all throughout the night because the cigarette smoke smell was just terrible, terrible enough that when we moved to a non-smoking room the next day our clothes and belongings all smelled like cigarettes. Very uncomfortable stay because I had allergy attacks while in that room and even after that. The next day after checking in at the service desk with a mean and not very helpful(at all) front desk person, they moved us to a non-smoking room alright...but then again I guess it's designed for handicapped or senior guests because there wasn't any bathtub but instead just a shower with a plastic chair and handle bars all over with a very small sink and I reserved for 4 adults! It was a terrible stay indeed!!! Never going to stay there ever again...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 137Hotel Review
The room was nice but the plugs in the bathroom did not work, neither did the light above the shower. Do not take the stairs because all the doors on the inside are locked so you will be forced to walk all the way down to the casino. The pool is nice. Lots of things to do inside.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 137Got Smoke?
Reservation made as NON smoking room...none available upon arrival...WHY?...Another added distraction...having to flush the toilet more than 10 times to clear the bowl. When requesting room change to non smoking, request was honored , however little concern by the agent making the change.....GREAT PRICE...but other casino/hotels do a better job for the money.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 137Discriminated Against
1. It was necessary for me to shorten my length of stay by one day: At check-in I was told that this could be accomodated BUT my bill adustment would be dependent on Hotels.com's policy and that I needed to check with you. I did that and determined that your policy indicates the Orleans (Coast Properties)is the entity which will not adjust booking fees on short notice. In other words, I was mis-directed. I do not appreciate getting the run-around. 2. One of the Bell desk staff made a disparaging, rude comment directed at me and a friend. Yes, we are part of a minority group, but never-the-less are decent, honest human beings; deserving of the same respect and consideration due any other such person.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 137Not as nice as I remember
I stayed here about 12 years ago and really enjoyed it. It appears that they have done not much updating or replacing since. I do like that the window in the bathroom opens; always nice to get some fresh air in the room. And, the shower was great; fantastic pressure. Probably would not stay here again. I could find another two star hotel on the strip if that's what I wanted.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 137nice rooms but needs upgrades
the rooms at the orleans are nice rooms but there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. but they are available for $15 a day. and when i asked if there was a microwave i could use, they told me there was not one for guests use. i have stayed in run down motels before and they even had refrigerators or microwaves. we did not get the room that we reseved. we reserve a king bed with smoking. at first they put us in a king bed with no smoking and then moved us to a room with double beds and smoking. on there website it does not say anything about a $100 deposit, which they make you pay at check in.
