Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 80Needs Improvement
The actual room was nice and comfortable, but my room keys would not work. I had to make multiple trips back to the front desk to get the service that I felt I deserved. It was not until I demanded that someone else from the hotel accompany me to the room that I finally had keys that worked, and that was after trying four of them. Very frustrating experience and not a good feeling wondering if your keys would work every time you left your room to do something.

I thought the Hilton would be a nice hotel and it was not. It was away from everything. The casino was not as big as I thought, and not busy at night.

Hotel offers a reduced rate because of its location (far end) of the core boardwalk action. Of all the rooms with beautiful ocean views, I got stuck with an internal room with no view. Make sure you ask when you check in! The bathroom also had inadequate ventilation (no exhaust fan).

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 80Spend the extra $10 and stay somewhere else...
This was a complete waste. From the lackluster service to the extra charges for EVERYTHING: Parking, Internet, $16/person for a flat out awful buffet... Seriously, stay somewhere else... someplace that isn't resting on its laurels and actually cares about the guests. This hotel experience was the worst I have ever had while traveling.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 80Nothing to brag about
The hotel "looks" nice from the pictures, exterior and even when you first check in. Unfortunately, when we walked into the room it was very disappointing. The carpets were stained, the room smelled musty, and all of the decor was extremely outdated and dingy. In addition, our dinning experience at the hotel was horrible. The only restaurant with available seating was the Horizon, the others were closed for the season. There food and service was awful. The waiters were the worst I've seen in a long time. They managed to mess up every order for all of the surrounding tables. They were unorganized when seating patrons, we were seated after the table next to us but we got served at least 15 min. before them. It was extremely uncomfortable experience to sit next to three tables of people who all got there orders wrong. The waiters made no attempt to apologize for there service and the Manager who could have intervened was sitting in the table next to us having dinner with her friend who came to visit her at the restaurant. The entire experience was laughable. I definitely will not be returning to this hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 80Could do better!
We made the mistake of waiting a little too long to make our reservations for Atlantic City and ended up paying a higher price for lesser rooms. The Hilton was not much different than other hotels in Atlantic City. Like most of them, they do not GIVE you anything like the old days of VEGAS. There are a lot of hotels out there and those that do not offer free WI-FI ($12.95 Per day is ridiculous) and at least a continental style breakfast, do not deserve your patronage. The fact that the entire Hotel strip is the only thing that separates the slums from the ocean, is also a bummer. My wife and I like to go out and sample the fares of the local eateries and other than one trip to a local chinese take-out, we ate in our hotel.(YECH!) All in all we will probably never go back to Atlantic City. We have better things to do with our money.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 80Horrible!!
Checked-in to our room for the weekend on Friday Sept 25th. The room smelled like urine. The bathtub was clogged. The same night we were locked out of our room. The keys stopped working. Room services did nothing about this initial complaint, only told us to call the next day. We booked a king-size bed room and received a double-bed instead. Called saturday after 4pm as instructed and were told the only room available was another double-bed room. Talked to a "Manager" Sunday and finally were given a corner suite for the last night. We were told thats all they could do. There were no options at all to try and provide us with a better stay. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

the first room they put us in, the bed was so low it felt like we were on the floor. The bed was also broken, ie sagging as if the coils were collapsed. Also this was supposed to be a non-smoking rooma and it intermittently reeked of cigarette smoke, as if it was in the ventilation system. We were moved to another room. at least the bed in the 2nd room was comfy. But this room also had the intermittent smokey smell. We gave up on that issue. In the 2nd room, the shower head spray was very weak. I expected more from a big casino hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 80Needs New Mattresses
The hotel needs to do something about the condition of the mattresses. We switched rooms after the first night to a "up-dated" room on a higher floor after suffering over night with a mattress that caved in to the middle. The next mattress was "better" but not "new." In addition, the walls between rooms are paper-thin. You can hear your neighbors talking, toilets flushing, showers running, etc., day and night! We have stayed at many hotels in AC over the years and stayed here due to the rates over the holiday weekend and never had such an experience elsewhere. In addition, there is not much to expect on the dining and shopping areas of the hotel either. The only positive thing I can say is that if you want to go to the beach this hotel does offer a nicer beachfront area with access to beach chairs (for a fee) and a beach bar with entertainment.
