We were told there would be an excersize room and there was none there were cob webs on the stairs and pluged toilet that I had to unplug myself. the maid was putting garbage down toilet.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 6Lacking in Customer Service
I was very put-out by the lack of customer service on one particular night of my stay. At midnight, the smoke detector started chirping, meaning the battery was low. I attempted to remove the battery on my own, but could not, so I contacted the front desk. They informed me they didn't have any replacement batteries but could get some in the morning. Well, that didn't help me that night! I finally got the battery removed, but the chirping didn't stop. The smoke detectors are hardwired into the building. I finally unhooked the wires, removing the smoke detector from the ceiling, rendering it useless. This concerns me mostly because there were two children staying with me. If there had been a fire, we would not have known! I brought this concern to another employee at the front desk the following day. They sent a maintenance person to fix the smoke detector. This, however, did not fix the night before. I am very disappointed with the lack of concern shown us.

There were bugs in our room. One night we woke up to one in the bed with us. They were in the tub and sitting area. It is hard to relax on your honeymoon when you are constantly looking out for bugs that may be crawling on you.

Location for me was perfect as the work I was doing was right down the street. Outside of hotel run down. As a woman staying alone I felt rather far from the main building. Downstairs room was very noisy from upstairs people, no insullation in floor. That said, the hotel makes you sign a noise policy. Room very clean but smelled of smoke a bit. I was unable to open windows for safety sake and blinds were not tight, had to put up a towel. Wasn't terrible and if I had to I would stay again, just closer to main building and upstairs!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 6Our stay at the Chase Suites in K.C.
We had a family of five in the room above us and they left their tv. on until 3:30 in the morning and then got up early and the noise level did not allow us to sleep in. Very bad experiance.
