Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 7Good & Bad
The staff was extremely helpful, even showed us three rooms to chose between since there are various one bedroom styles available. The room was aesthetically nice but a bit uncomfortable with uneven air flow (living room ws cold, bathroom was hot & bedroom was comfortable)& no TV in the bedroom. Items were stolen from our car while it was held by the hotel valet - of cousre this soured our experience a bit.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 7A very small suite
We thought we were getting a "superior" suite, but it was very disapointing. No real "living area" besides the bedroom. No dresser or anything to put clothes for stay of 7 days. Bathroom had no counter space either. Kitchen - don't plan on cooking on stove - only in microwave with very limited cutlery - 1 small paring knife, 1 regular knife, 2 forks, no frying pan or other pots. Bowl for microwave. TV in livingroom was above kitchen - so with 5ft of space you had to look up about 6ft! Neck would get sore! Under counter space was washer, D/W and Dryer - very compact. View from desk though was great.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 7Nice size room, good view, great location, attentive staff, but has its quirks
The hotel looks nice and the room was a good size, however, a couple of things caused us to not want to stay again. First, we stayed the weekend after the US Thanksgiving, so it was cold outside. The room was warm, but the air quality was very dry and we would wake up with headaches in the morning. Next, if you expect to reach your room quickly, then this is not the place where you want to stay. While the lobby is beautifully appointed, the elevators are very s-l-o-w and you will have to wait downstairs and on your floor for one to finally come. Another thing is that since we were only staying 2 nights, we didn't need our room to be serviced and left our passports, laptops, etc in the room and put a "do not disturb" sign on the door. However, she came in anyway and took away the towels we had carefully rehung (if we wanted service and to have them replaced they hotel asks that we put them in the tub...) Lastly, it has a wonderful little kitchenette, but we used the dishes/silverwear and discovered that there wasn't any dish soap to be found. We found out later that apparently you can ask the front desk, and for a nominal fee, you can go downstairs and get a small portion. One last thing to note, parking is not cheap and going one block south to a garage the hotel refered us to, meant having to pick the car up at 6am or the garage asks you to pay the next days full price. We just feel that for the price, there are other hotels that would leave us feeling better and also be in a good location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 7Nice hotel but not very accomadating
The hotel it self is nice with a bit of old world charm since it used to be a bank and a historic one to Toronto at that. We had a couple of problems in that on our first night our safe in the room didn't work. They sent someone to fix it and all they could do was put in another safe, just left it on the shelf. So not quite a safe, safe! The second night we had a leak in our room right over our bed. When I called down to the desk they said they would move us to another room on the 15th floor better than ours. That was fine but we had to pack all of our things (it was 11.30 at night) go down to the first floor to get the elevator up to the 15th floor only to find that the room WASN'T the same as ours and did not meet our needs. We once again called the desk and were told we could move to a room on the 6th floor,(which meant another trip down to the lobby and to switch elevator banks back to the ones for that floor). Very annoying as elevators are next to the lobby and the bar andby now it was after midnight. When I asked to speak to the manager they told me there was nothing they could do that night for us. By this time we weren't very happy to be moving fromm room to room at 12 o'clock at night. I definitely felt that more could have been done to accomodate our problem and was disappointed that the hotel didn't take better care of the situation.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 7Hotel has many rooms with no view at all
We stayed on the 14th floor and because of the incorporation of an old building in the structure, we had absolutely no view and minimal natural light in the room. Lots of room is wasted on a kitchenette, which may be good for long-term lodging, but not for a few days.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 7More attitude than substance
The room was clean and comfortable but I had to put up with petty annoyances that I should not have had to for the price paid. Examples include: a rust filled iron that damaged my shirt, a malfunctioning air conditioner unit that required me to change rooms on my last night, damaged internet cable connector, delayed responses to service calls, and an undertone of attitude from staff.
