Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 46Had A Good Stay but...
I enjoyed my room at this hotel however, beware of hidden fees. The staff failed to explain the rooms' sensored refridgerator/mini bar and it's 30-seconds rule. Let me explain. There is a small refridgerator/mini bar in every room with small beverages (including non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks). If a beverage is removed for more than 30 seconds, the guest is automatically charged for the item - even if the guest doesnt use the item. I wasn't informed of this and was completely oblivious. With that said, I attempted to keep some of my own personal beverages cool and decided to take out a couple of sodas from the mini bar to make room for my drinks. I did not drink the soda but simply put them on the counter. Before I went to bed, I placed the unused sodas back in the mini bar. The next day, I go to check out and was informed that I was charged for items I didn't use. This is when I learned about the 30-second rule. So watch out for that, other than that the beds were comfortable and the staff was decent. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 46Convention hosted in the hotel lobby?
I would never recommend this hotel because of the ignorance of the management and event staff. We did not realize that it was the site of St. Louis Fashion Week. I'm fine with a convention being held, but the fact that they had it in the main lobby was frustrating. If that wasn't enough, there was a party one evening in the lobby and the live music was so loud that I missed a call because I couldn't hear my cell phone ringing in my room! Stay far away!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 46Lost booking, no apology, awful service
We booked this hotel online and pre-paid and arrived to drop bags off to go to the baseball. When we arrive they said they had no notice of our booking or payment. They wandered off from the reception leaving us to feel like idiots. It took 30mins to get it sorted and we missed the start of the baseball due to the same. No apology was forthcoming. We booked a room which stated online "two roomed suite" we got back and it was actually one room with two queen beds in there - we were two couples sharing and so one couple took the sofa bed in the lounge. When we queried this we were told "two rooms" meant one bedroom and a lounge. This is totally misleading and I questioned why they hadn't then included the bathroom so it could be advertised as a three-roomed suite! Again no apology or concern whatsoever that they had mislead us. We asked about breakfast and were told it finished at 10.30am and so we went down and we were then told there was no breakfast. The lifts took forever to arrive and the general staff around the building were rude and ignorant. The air con did not work in the lounge. Terrible service, poor staff and I would rather sleep in the car then go back here!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 46Extra Charges
The parking is down a sloping driveway and across a side street. I have a breathing problem and that made it very unpleasant to get to my car. In addition, I didn't find out about the $10/day charge to park my car in the hotel lot until I checked in. They also put a $50 "hold" on my checking account for "incidentals." On the positive side, they provided a free shuttle to and from St. Louis Cardinal baseball games.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 46Casino Experience
If you are into casinos and the casino crowd, you will probabaly like this. Otherwise, probabaly not. Nice staff, but tacky decor and a lot of all-night activity. Strangely, not loud.

Needs improvement, rooms smelled of smoke. Carpets were dirty, found ants crawling on nightstand. Staff needs more supervision to make sure jobs are performed properly. Could be a great place to stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 46Needs help in customer service
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We accidentally left two shirts in the closet after checkout. We called an hour after leaving, and were told that they articles of clothing would be retrieved for us and someone would be calling us for the details. Needless to say, we've been home now for 2 days and not a single person has returned one of my 4 calls! I am truly disappointed in the customer service of this hotel and their staff. Obviously, someone stole my boyfriend's shirts from the closet, and that's why nobody has called us back. I'm truly disappointed. Also, there were lots of homeless and sketchy people walking around the hotel/casino area that came up to you. Don't walk around alone at night!!!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 8 of 46Too loud
We had a nice room and were treated very nicely by all staff and the atrium area is beautiful but when it came time to sleep, there was no way. Our room was right outside of a overpass and all night long it sounded like a truck was driving through the room. We just wanted to stop over for the night on a trip from Memphis to Chicago and I thought it would be nice for my Mom to enjoy the casino for a little while. Not everyone is there to just gamble all night long without any sleep. We had much higher expectations for the price we paid.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 46New Hotel that needs work!
We had some major issues with this hotel. 1st, it is right next to a train track and all night our room shook when the train went by. Also, there was an old pair of pantyhose in the bathroom and it was dirty. To make matters worse, the mini-bar is apparently set with a computer so that if you MOVE something, it will charge your room. No one told me this and since I had my 1 year old, I had to move things to make room for his milk. Needless to say my checkout was interesting. They took the charges off, but they were rude and very reluctant to do so. Last but not least, the food was extremely overpriced! I will not stay here again!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 46Bathroom could use some TLC
The room for the rate was great ... the bed was comfortable and we got a good nites sleep. However, the bathtub was not clean ... hair leftover from previous patron. There was a dirty washcloth hanging from the top of the shower curtain as well with hair on it. I was glad that we only stayed for one night.

Although not terrible, this stay was very blah and not worth of recommendation to friends. Was not impressed with the condition of the facility or the service provided.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 46Not for Vacationers
Common areas of hotel were very nice, updated. Room however, was not very updated. Carpeting, bedding, etc very old. Bathroom fixtures were old and shower curtain had lots of mold on it! Hotel is only for casino goers and not for those seeking a family vacation spot for the arch and other St Louis attractions. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 46Be afraid, be very afraid
Worst service I've ever had. Actually that's not fair, I don't think you can call no service at all as being bad. Just one example: I waited over four hours for them to have a clean room so that I could check in. Not being able to wait any longer I changed clothes in their public restroom to make my appointment. Returned five hours later, checked in and checked out the following morning. Total time checked in, ten hours and was still charged full price. Nice.
