Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 330Nice, but not for full price
Hotel Lumiere is a nice hotel, and adjacent to one of the nicer casinos in St Louis. Lobby is impressive, the rooms are nice, clean and very large. It's all that it's cracked up to be except for a few things. 1) We were there for 36 hours, and we had to have our key cards re-magnetized 4 times. Very frustrating, and the front desk was none too apologetic about it. 2) Parking is $10 per day for hotel guests, but on the other side of the fence casino parking is free. Hhhmm. 3)The Lumiere casino charges $4-5 for alcoholic drinks. I have never experienced this before, and don't appreciate it. 4) Although rooms are very big, bathrooms are super tiny. What's up with that? Otherwise we had a great stay and might stay again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 330Pretty good
The hotel staff was nice - the beds were comfortable. Our room smelled a bit musty but nothing terrible. It's a nice place and good laclede's landing location. It was the location that sold us.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 330Great Rooms
First of all, these rooms are awesome! The beds are very comfortable and the room size is great! Can't say enough about how nice it is to have a separate living room and two TV's. The lobby is also beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. Couple complaints. Everytime we left the hotel and came back that evening, our keys didn't work. Given that we were on the 8th floor and the elevators are very slow, that got very annoying by the third night. Also, the self parking NEVER worked with our room key. We ended up parking on the street (while still getting charged for the lot) just to avoid the inconvenience of calling security to let us in. The pool attendant and some of the "rules" are a bit silly for the price of the hotel stay. It is not a huge or extravagent pool, so making us walk down to front desk to get bracelets and prove we are guests is a bit extreme. Especially when we were the only ones using the facility. Also, not letting our child in the hot tub with us, when again we were the only ones in there was annoying. Other little inconveniences were lack of inexpensive dining, especially for breakfast. We typically stay at 2-3 star hotels that are less expensive but always have free breakfasts. We knew when staying here that this was not the case, but the restaurant that did provide breakfast was very pricey! My suggestion would be to bring your own snacks and quick breakfast foods and to be sure to eat lunch/dinner out while site seeing if you don't want to spend a lot at their very nice restaurants! One other thing to mention, as others have, if you are an early to bed person, you may want to confirm with the staff that there is not a function (private party, etc.) going on in the lobby before booking your stay. It is very loud, all the way up to the 8th floor. Although, having the separate living area and door separation to the bedroom difuses a lot of that noise, but not all of it. Overall though, we really liked it here. Everyone was very frie

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 330Good Hotel
The hotel was very nice. The lobby was fantastic. Very pretty and scenic. The food was good in the Kitchen buffet, although not much of a variety. The hotel and restaurant staff was not knowledgable in some things we wanted to know. I asked about shuttle buses and was told there weren't any and then I saw shuttles traveling around the area. The room reeked of smoke. The bed was great, very comfortable. No whirpool in the pool area, only outside. Go figure. oVerall, I would stay here again. The casino was awesome. Too smokey for me, but it didn't stop me from hitting the slots.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 330Comfortable and Fun
I love that every room is a suite. That makes for a very comfortable business trip. Did not like the fact that we had to pay extra for Wi-Fi in the room. Also, my bathroom had not been swept very well, if at all. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay.
