Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 12If you like Cold Showers.....
In general the Hotel was fine in terms of location and service but no hot water in the shower was not our idea of fun. Service was very helpful.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 12Not worth it - there are better hotels for the price!
The hotel is on top of a metro station...that's very convenient, but also VERY ugly. You have to either walk up a dirty outdoor stairway or try to find a poorly lit dirty elevator....the hotel looks like it was designed in the 50os and never updated and the furniture is chipped and not so clean...it's also not sound proofed and you hear EVERYTHING from the hallway....didn't seem like there were alot of people there so it didn't get too noisy.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 12Dissapointing stay in BCN
Hotel is next to a very sketchy neighborhood. Quick walk to La Rambla but through sketchy, narrow streets. Not the best neighborhood at night, especially for youth and families. Hotel does have a rooftop pool but it is poorly maintained. The front desk is knowledgeable but not accommodating. No wifi access in the hotel even though it's advertised. Not close to major bus or metro stops. The official Barcelona tour buses are almost a mile walk from the hotel. Awful restaurants near the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 12LOUD! Horrible Room service food
The hotel bed was uncomfortable. We felt like we were sleeping on pizza boxes. The hotel food was horrible- I mean really bad..... cold eggs for breakfast, plastic food for dinner. They actuall in restaurant buffet looked ok, but room service was absolutely horrifying. The hotel was loud. The maids would start cleaning other rooms and you could here them banging around for hours on end. My boyfriend and I called it "maid hockey" every morning. You could also hear everyone screaming and yelling all night. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 12Needs New Beds
I don't usually do reviews...had to do this one, though. BELIEVE ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE BAD BEDS. If you have back problems don't even consider staying here or if you would like a back problem, it is perfect for you. Hotel doesn't have foam mattress pads so I had them bring 6 pillows to cover the bed...springs dig into your back. Otherwise, hotel is great! I will not stay here again...beds too uncomfortable even for 1 night. Apparently, hotel acknowledges the bed problem; just doesn't want to correct it. O

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 12Not really worth the money
The hotel itself was nice and clean but was not in a very good area. Most of the buildings around the place were all run down & dirty. The room itself was a descent size and was pretty nice. Our room was on the street side and was very noisy even through the night. We were gone for the whole day and when we came back in the evening they were just starting to clean our room, which really was making the bed, our trash wasnt even emptied. The only thing I did like was that it wasnt very far from places. It was about a 10-15 min walk to the main places in the area like Las Ramblas, Columbus square, the City Center, & the waterfront, which wasnt bad but you had to walk through some shady areas to get there. The doormen were really nice and helpful but I didnt find all the front desk staff all that pleasant or helpful. Overall if I went again I would probably stay someplace else in one of the other areas close by.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 12Service pretty good but room was like a tiny box
The hotel is fairly nice overall. However, I shared a room with a friend and paid extra for a second bed and we received tiny little twin beds that were pushed together and squeezed between two wall-installed night tables anyway. So we ended up sleeping three inches apart. The maid service kept things pretty neat overall. As people have said, we requested a quieter room, but that meant our window faced an interior corridor with a glass top so we had no way of even knowing the weather when we got up in the morning. It was just a little bento box with no window, but it was fairly quiet. I was very surprised at how eager the staff was to help. They booked tickets for us and helped us find places to go, they brought up an extra pillow quickly and even held the door that slides to open itself : ) It is RIGHT at the metro station which is super convenient, so location isn't an issue. However, if you are a woman you wouldn't want to walk to Las Ramblas from there - I was accosted on more than one occasion when doing that with a friend, so doing that alone would not be a good idea. The twin bed was so tiny that we both hung off of it, so I'm not sure if twin beds are smaller in Europe or not. The pool at the top of the hotel is not heated, but we used the freezing water to refresh our feet after walking all day. The pool side is pretty nice overall. The views from the roof/pool deck are pretty good. I saw someone actually using the gym, which has a couple of pieces of equipment. I'd say the highlights are the roof and the staff and the lowlights are the size of the room and choice between a view and a super dark/quiet room.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 12Over Priced
Being that it is away from the center of Barcelona, we expected a nicer facility for the price we paid. It was clean and the service was nice and the food was excellent, but the room was very small for the price. It did not meet our expectations for the price we had to pay.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 12Not Worth The Price
Beds were not at all comfortable. No hot water on the first morning and no compensation given. Room was on the second floor on a very busy street, therefore it was very noisy - get a room in back or on a much higher floor.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 12Nice Hotel but Overpriced
Most of the staff was nice when checking in however there was one member who could use some customer service skill improvements. The location seemed removed from most tourist areas however the METRO station was located right outside of the hotel. We were able to use the METRO to go where we needed. Keep in mind the METRO closes at midnight making for a long walk after midnight. The hotel was nice but the price we paid seemed heavy for what it actually offered.
