Despite the room & floor being non-smoking it still smelt of smoke. Bathroom was pretty basic & the shower curtain was thick vinyl and grubby.

The stratosphere was an okay hotel. It's outside of walking distance to the main attractions but since you can park at any hotel for free it's not that big of an issue. My issue with the hotel was terrible elevators, water drainage issues in the sink/bathtub, and it was too pricey for its location and quality.

This was my second time staying at the Stratosphere. The restaurants were good; my room didn’t have a luggage rack; I had to ask for additional pillows for my bed. The fitness center smelled so bad I only stayed in there for 20 minutes. Something is deffently wrong whit the air in there. The parking lot and security was good, and it should be due to the bad area in which the hotel is located. Stay there if you like, but just like everything in Vegas, its gamble.

There is nothing really wrong with this hotel. But it just feels dead and empty, not the feeling I would imagine people go to Vegas for. The tower: The best thing about it, you get 4 passes per day to go up to the top of the tower (this was not some special from the website, it applied to all guests) which allows you to see all of the valley. I only went up in the day, but I bet it would have been really cool at night. The room: The room I got was a single queen on the 21st floor, and the room had only one tiny window, about 2 feet wide by 3.5 feet tall, that looked out onto the freeway. (I had paid for the high room level, definitely not worth it) The room felt really small because there was a dividing wall separating the bed from the rest of the room. Which made the place even darker. I guess it worked to make you not want to be in your room. Also, the building only has one pool, and it was surprisingly far away from my room, (5-10 mins from room to pool) one of the problems of a mega hotel i guess. But at that size, maybe they should have had 2 pools. Oh, and you cant bring drinks, you have to buy things there, so if your a family with kids you better think about sneaking them, or its going to get expensive. Location: I knew when I booked it that it was a ways from the strip. I took a taxi from here to the paris where a friend was, and it was 13 bucks, not bad, but both ways thats 30 bucks more I could have spent on a more central room. Also you can take the monorail, but it ends at the Sahara, and its maybe a 10-15 min walk from there to the hotel, wasent bad, but it was a dark desolate road at 3am, so be comfortable.

I was led to believe that the Stratosphere was on the Strip. Well it isnt exactly there. It is on Las Vegas Blvd but about a ten minute drive from all the action. And it is on the far end of the strip and not in the prettiest neighborhood. Price is cheap but you get what you pay for.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 191Too long waiting in line to check in
I read 3 chapters of my book in the 1 hour 15 minutes I was standing in line to check in. Apart from that a very good hotel. Woul very highly recommend the top of the world restaurant and their 6/7 course tasting menu with wine, expensive but by far the best food I sampled on my 7 week trip to the united states. Perhaps I would recommend arriving late evening or early morning to avoid the queue's. Conclusion: 9.99/10

This hotel is outdated and the staff isn't helpful at all. Two other things to mention 1... the add said we get $50 spa credit... the coupon printesd as 20% off I called hotels .com and they said to call the Strat. I did and they said sure thing it is 50 off it shows on the reservation. When we check in they say no it doesn't show no way to change it. 2... The top of the world restaurant is RIP OFF. terrible service and over 50$ per plate. one drink minimum at 15$ to start.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 191Prepare for Wi-FI costs
The hotel is becoming a bit run down. I was very disappointed by the scrimping, such as only one towel per person, only one bar of soap for both the sink and the bath. However, the room rate was relatively low. Wi-Fi access is $12.95 a day. The "business center" charges by the minute with a $5 minimum, and $1 per page printing. The room was fine for the most part, just not great attention to detail or customer service. The $50 credit in the spa was not really a credit until you had already spent $100 on another service, and it didn't apply to package services. There was a lot of pressure to "up charge" to additional services and I felt resentful instead of rested after my facial and pedicure.

THE STAFF WAS EXTREMLY RUDE . THE FOCUS OF THIS PLACE IS MORE OF A GAMBLEING HALL THEN A HOTEL . SECURITY GUARDS DRESSED MORE LIKE A SWAT TEAM ALL OVER THE PLACE, AND MADE A PERSON FELL LIKE YOU WERE BEING WATCHED EVERYWHERE. IT TOOK ME ALMOST 15-20 MINUTES TO JUST FIND THE ELEVATOR TO GET UP TO MY ROOM , AS THE STAFF COULD CARE LESS .. THE PLACE IS LAID -OUT STUPID. THIS PLACE JUST SUCKED . THE ONLY THING OK WAS THE TOWER VIEW OF THE CITY. DO NOT TAKE A FAMILY HERE FOR A STAY !!

We arrived there were used tiles and soap in room, it took housekeeping 4 hours to rectify this situation. While we slept we kept smelling a sewer odor, when awoke there was black sewer water coming up through the sink and the toliet wouldn't flush. We requested another room the room was a premier room and it superb but the water smell of sewer.
