Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 28It was ok
My wife and I decided to go down to the plaza for a mini getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is in a good location and had a nice view. However, for a suite, the room seemed really cramped to us, the toilet kept running, and the entire room looked like it needed a makeover. They had LCD televisions in the room, but they didn't have an HD feed so the picture was kind of lousy. We had a nice dinner at Houstons, enjoyed the plaza, and spent about an hour in the room before we came to our senses and went home. It was a discounted rate so I can't complain too much, but it feels like we blew a hundred bucks on a parking space for dinner.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 28Nice Hotel - Pricey Extras
It is partly my fault for not checking beforehand, but there was a considerable daily charge for both parking and wifi access. Also, the charge for the in room movie was three times what you would pay in a movie theater, the movie said it was still in theaters, but it has actually already been released to DVD. The room was okay, but my husband and I were surprised by an unwelcome wake up at 5:30am by the alarm clock that we didn't know existed - it was behind the nightstand and I could NOT figure out how to turn it off. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and you can walk to everything in the plaza, but there is tons of traffic and some construction, so it can be difficult to get where you need to go without jaywalking. We probably won't stay there again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 28Needs Improvement
This hotel is not to standard. As we were checking in a roach was crawling on the check-in counter. The hotel employee tried to hide the fact that there was a roach by trying to push it off the counter. The other issue that we had was the hotel bathrooms were dirty. The tub had mole all over the tub and not to mentioned the rim of the toilet. It looked liked if it has not be cleaned in years.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 28Clean the rooms better
Our bathroom was filthy. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. There was funk around the drain in the shower, mold on the shower curtain. Very very dirty.... No better than a cheap hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 28Terrible Front Desk Ruined Stay
The overall hotel building and room were satisfactory, but the hotel staff just about ruined my stay. When I arrived, I was met with a cold front desk clerk. He would not tell me when my room would be ready and did not offer another available room (which I later found out that there were several available rooms at the time I arrived). The cleaning lady kept passing my room. I never received turn-down service or even clean towels without asking. When I DID ask, again, I was met with a cold and unfriendly front desk clerk. When I finally checked out, I carried all of my bags, making several trips to my room, without any assistance from the bellhops, even though there were two standing around WATCHING me carry my luggage. The ONLY hotel staff member that even acknowledged me during my stay was what appeared to be a housekeeping manager or something. He was very nice and helped me the last day I did not get clean towels. I was surprised that with a name like SHERATON SUITES, I would receive such terrible service. I will not be staying here again.

Arrived and found hair on sheets in bed; had to pay extra for parking there; restaurant had noone helping us, and when we finally decided on the "buffet" (eggs, bacon and sausage, and gravy/biscuits w/fruit and cereal), we got our bill and it was incredibly expensive. Just an all around bad experience for the price and supposed "luxury."

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 28Great location
The Sheraton Suites Country Club plaza, was in a great location, the staff was very friendly. The bathroom needs some renovation, the tub leaked and had a bit of a mildew smell.

Bathroom sink did not drain well. Sliding door to bathroom was extremely difficult to slide.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 28Not what we expected
For a somewhat "upscale" hotel, many services cost extra. Parking and internet both cost extra per day, and these are both free at most lower quality hotels. Also no continental breakfast. I would not recommend the hotel restaurant as it is very overpriced for the quality. My husband and I had dinner there - two soft drinks and two mediocre salads for $30. There were also mistakes on both of our orders despite the fact that we were the only two people in there that evening. The room was clean and mostly comfortable, except for the fact that our room service tray was left outside our door for at least 24 hours.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 28Other hotels in area are much better
You will pay a little more for a much nicer hotel in the area. I highly recommend the Raphael Hotel which is just down the street from this hotel. This Sheraton was not as clean as I hoped and I had mold in my room. Very disappointing.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 28Just OK
This hotel was just OK, that's all I can say. The staff wasn't very caring about the fact that we had wanted a room with two double beds and they gave us a room with one king bed. This was the case with reservations through hotels.com and also through sheraton.com. Uncomfortable situation and disappointing. In addition, the bedroom was humid but chilly. One could tell the room had been well used.
