Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 146Noisy neighbors
When I booked I selected interior entrance. I hate entering a hotel room from the outside. When I arrived I got an exterior entrance room. On top of that there was an door inside my room to get to the room next to me. I did not feel safe. I asked for a tower room and was told that they were all booked up. It was only maybe 70 cars in the whole lot. I did not believe that at all! My next issue is with the mini golf. You have to walk from 1 end of the property to the other end to check out balls and clubs and only have 1 hour to play. Pools were Ice cold, mixed drinks extremely high! We had to pay for self parking per night. I will not stay at this hotel again period!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 146the smell of Tar
We booked this hotel specifically for a smoking room. Once we got there it was a bait and switch routine from the hotel. The parking area was full of dumpster and roofing materials. The tub did not drain, the hair dryer was hidden and the TV was crap. The actual TV was a flat screen but the reception was horrible. We would not book here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 146Good FL resident rate for the money. Watch out for HIDDEN FEES!
This hotel is VERY convenient to SeaWorld and Aquatica. It's close to major roadways and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The hotel gives you two options for parking: 1) valet parking (with a crazy per day fee); and 2) self-parking. Self-parking is you parking your own car yourself...BUT you have to pay a daily fee with the hotel for using the parking lot!!!! I paid an unbelievable amount for the 2 days I stayed there. Make sure you call the hotel to learn how much they are going to charge you to park your own car on their property! What made the whole thing worse was the fact that they were doing renovations on the closest parking lot to my building. So not only did I have to pay a daily fee, but I had to walk from a farther parking lot. I was generally happy with the room. It was spacious, had a flat-screen TV, & a large king bed. One of the best thing about this property was the convenient on-site mini market with a Pizza Hut & Starbucks coffee. If you're going to SeaWorld or Aquatica, I'd definitely look into this hotel. Otherwise, I'd find another hotel in Orlando.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 146not happy
we weren't happy with our stay. we booked a room with king bed. we were told by the receptionist during check in that we do have a king bed and we were at a roomw ith two full beds instead. we called the front desk and we were on the phone for a long time. we were upgraded but we paid for the upgrade and we were brought to a room for disabled clients. we stayed for the night and we thought that we're not gonna ruin our stay. but we are definitely not going back to that hotel and wont recommend it to any of our friends!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 146Customer Service...not so much
We had just arrived in town from a 17 hr train ride with no sleepand requested an early check in to freshen up for the day (it was noon). Front desk clerk said there was nothing available until after 3p without even bothering to check the system. We had to freshen up in the lobby bathroom and ask to hold our luggage, which they did. while waiting for my husband in the lobby, i observed several people chking in and getting rooms.I again approached the clerk and asked if anything was available, she again said no without verifying. When I pointed out I saw several people checking in and receiving keys, she advised they were special guests.Ok great, so people paying for rooms and booking in their hotel are not special, I see. The parking was not free, the on site restaurant was rediculously over priced, everything required a tip. Its basically a 3 star hotel trying to be a 5 star by having valet, knowledgable bell men and expensive restaurant. Close to Seaworld yes, but limited shuttles to and from. After paying for parking last thing i wanted to do was spend another 10bucks on seaworld parking so we walked. fairly long walk but not long enough for a cab. I think had the front desk acommodated with an early check in I would be less disgruntled but still fairly dissapointed.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 146great hotel for its price and location however...
when I originally ordered the hotel room it was supposed to be a king size bed, when I got there they didn't have one so they upgraded us to a nicer suite HOWEVER it was a smoking room... I think it was a terrible choice but I didn't feel like going to a 3rd room. On the top of that they put an additional hold of $51 on my card w/o advising me of anything.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 146Service was horrible!
Checked in on a Friday. Long lines at check-in due to being understaffed and had the same problem when checking out on Sunday. Room was tidy but details were overlooked. Shower curtian fell off when opened, towel rack coming off wall, and several bugs in the room. Maid service was poor. Maid removed all soiled towels but did not restock with new. House keeping was unavaliable and did not get new towels until close to midnight. The price was low but I still feel I paid to much for the quality or lack of it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 146Don't leave anything in the room
My friend and I booked rooms there. Went to an event and when he came back his lap top and back pack was stolen out the room. Front desk move them to other room and that was all. Sounded like an inside job to me.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 146would not stay here again.
We stayed in two story section of the hotel which i am sure is the older and remodeled section of a nice looking property. Facilities were generally good. Our room however should have provided a microwave and refrigerator mainly because this area of the hotel is completely disconnected from the main hotel tower that houses food service, etc... Another issue is that the hallway is open to the outdoors which is not great because people stand outside your door and smoke and loiter. In fact, one evening I went out with my daughter to the ice machine and passed a smoker, we turned the corner to the ice machine and collected our ice and returned to the room. As we approached our room, this guy (the smoker from the hall) emerged from our room and when he saw us he said he had mistakenly entered our room. He then entered his own room which was the last door before the hall turned, exactly the door he had been smoking in front of when we had walked past. It turns out when he entered our room, he met with my husband and didn''t go any further. Obviously he had been looking for something to steal. In any case, my point is that in this type of set up, there is alot of loitering of unsavory characters in the halls, so I definitely would not stay in this area of the hotel again. I do not recommend based on these observations.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 146Hotel was acceptable.
The location to Sea World was great (walking distance). Room was not the room requested so we received a slight upgrade (Refrigerator & Microwave in the room). Room was clean, bed was firm, linens and towels were fresh. Bring your own bath soap, it was poor. That said, it was a slightly above average room on the 3rd floor without an elevator. There are numerous hotels in the area and there wasn't anything special here to entice us back.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 146Needs Much Improvement
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful. Problems when I was there: 1) Telephone next to bed didn't always work. 2) Could not reach front desk on telephone--always busy. 3) Long wait trying to wait for service at front desk. 4) Help at front desk incompetent. 5) Restaurant flyers placed under door indicating lack of security and bugs able to get into room. 6) Spiders in room. 7) Caulking around bathtub very poor. I would never stay or recommend it under present management. Management is changing -- will become Doubletree in September. I like to think it will improve once that occurs.
