Okay for the money

The room is pretty small. There was a bug in the bed. Unsure what kind it was, but made the stay uncomfortable. The toilet clogged, and had to get a plunger at front desk.

Needs improvement

Hotel was old and outdated; not very clean; only stayed there because other hotels were sold out. The price was outrageous

Ok for one night. Tiny room for the price.

Needs work...

Very friendly and well-meaning staff but the coffee maker in my room did not work and the TV sound was intermittant...not good things to screw up on!

AC & TV Thumbs Down

It was very hot in our room when we first go there, the heat was on instead of the AC. The channel up and down buttons on the remote control did not work. Only got 15-20 channels when the channel menu said they had almost 60. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. AC did not work well. Went off during the night and made the room very hot.

Hot and poor quality

When we arrived, it was 98 degrees and the AC in the room was not even turned on. We have to leave almost immediately for dinner because it was so sweltering in the room. It took 6 hours for the room to cool down enough to make it bearable. They obviously had not checked on the room before we arrived. There was hair in the shower, the drawers on the desk were off their track and broken. My daughter almost cut herself on one of the edges and I had to take the drawer out. And the room STUNK. Not like cigarettes, but like funk... And the breakfast was brutal. Whatever you do, if you are in Overland Park, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

Needs new housekeepers

The previous person that stayed in our room obviously bought a dvd and put the sticker on the wall. It was still there during our stay. There was a hole in the wall and paint chipped. The shower was also dirty. We had to clean it before we used it.

Completely Disappointed

I use hotels.com quite frequently and usually have good results. This particular hotel was in a very good location, but the hotel itself was quite disappointing. I had no hot water (outside temp was 25 degrees and sleeting) and the toilet would not flush. I stayed for three days and each day asked to be switched to a room with hot water but was told that I had to speak to a manager. I was attending a very important conference so everytime I waited for the manager, he/she never came, and I did not have all day to wait. Completely unsatisfied with this particular stay. The front desk staff tried to help, but they could not seem to solve my problem (i.e. get me in a room with hot water and a working toilet). Doubtfull that I'll ever use this hotel chain again and will reconsider using Hotels.com.

Great hotel if they let you in your room

Our experience started out great by the hotel letting us check-in early. Then from that point on, we were pulled left and right. They fought with us about what room we were in even though we literally had slept in our room already. They wouldn't let us in. Then after that was figured out, we came back Saturday evening to be told that we needed to make a new reservation. Huh? Our reservation was through the weekend. So, then we had to contact Hotels.com again to deal with THAT issue with the hotel. The guy refused to let us in our PAID room (and I even showed him the confirmation email). It was a nightmare!!!!

Needs Improvement

The room was like a refridgerator when we walked in. We had to turn the heat on high an sit around with our jackets on until we got under the covers. The room never did really warm up like you would think with the heat on high. The sheet also had make-up stains on them. The bathroom had an odor and the wall paper was coming off in one place with mold on a couple of places. They also only gave us three towels and two wash clothes when we had four people in our room. So we had to get new towels both evenings. We were glad we only were there to sleep and that was it. The bed was comfortable.

ROOM TOO SMALL

THE ROOM WAS TOO SMALL FOR TWO ADULTS AND A LITTLE ONE. THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS LOUD. OVERALL FOR THE PRICE, IT IS GREAT FOR A SINGLE PERSON.
