Fairmount San Jose

My wife and I were extremely pleased with the fairmount S J We were there for a concert at the HP pavillion which was a short cab ride away. As far as i could tell, it would be a reasonable walk. I did read som + and - reviews by others re the otel before I signed up.I thimk my standars are fairly high, but I couldn't point to 1 shortcoming of the our amenities. In house food was pricey, (expected that) but there were other optiond if you wanted to leave the hotel. e.g. Baja Fresh, Johnny Rocketds, Scotts Starbucks, etc. I would definitelystay there again.

Service Needs Improvement

Not pleased with level of customer service. It is very slow. I had to make three phone calls over the course of a day to get a replacement for my missing TV remote.

Romatic night out at the Fairmont

Well i statyed at the fairmont to have a nice romatic night with my boyfriend. The only thing i did not like about the stanard rooms is that the showers where not modern. They had a very old style and the shower head was nasty (needs to be replaced) Besides this everything was perfect

Outstanding Hotel

Centrally located in the heart of downtown San Jose. We didn't need a car while we were there, everything is within walking distance. We did have a problem with the air conditioner not working. They upgraded us to a larger room.

Great room for the money

This fairmont isn't like other Fairmonts in terms of the professionalism with its staff. The staff at the front desk didn't seem to care much about any of our requests and were a bit condescending towards us. However, in terms of cleanliness and room comfort, the room exceeded our expectations. Overall, the price that we paid for our room definitely made everything worth it.

Great Hotel in great location

I was visiting from out of town for a Sharks game, Sharks won so it was overall a great weekend trip. The hotel is great and maintained very nicely. It is located near many restraunts within walking distance and a short walk to all that downtown has to offer. The only downside was the fact that I had to pay $26 for parking. I mean its San Jose and they're charging $26.
