Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 22Not Impressed
It's sad to say this but the Hotel did not match the quality of service of its staff. There seems to be a vast difference between the quality of service and the poor conditions of the rooms. The Lobby was nice and comfortable but small. ROOMS....horrible, squeaky floors, old bathrooms, horrible blankets etc etc. Service was great which is unfortunate that they work in such a terrible facility.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 22far away, lots of prostitutes.
I booked this hotel for an impromptu weekend getaway. Sadly, it was a long walk from downtown and not as centrally located as I had thought...it is even off the map in Fodor's travel guide. The staff seemed indifferent, not particularly welcoming. Only one elevator worked and the one that did was narrow, as were the halls and my junior suite. Most disappointing is that the neighborhood is crawling with prostitutes. One in particular was right outside the hotel main entrance both nights I stayed there. Top that off with ripped sheets, shoddy decor, and a musty scent...it did not seem on-par with other similarly priced hotels. Very disappointing.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 22Needs updating
This hotel is an old building, which could be okay, but it smells old and seems old. Our room was so oderous we had to run the A/C on high when we were there and then it was freezing. The lobby and halls had a strange odor as well. Another guest had the same problem and it made it difficult to relax in our room. The beds were commfortable but the comforters were dirty/stained on the top.

Not in the greatest area of Toronto, not really close to much and shady neighborhood. The hotel needs a lot of updates! Like hotel is still in the 80s...

Old, dirty, smelly & small. Wouldn't recommend... The staff was ok, but the wireless internet didn't work, the hotel was small, smelly and quite old...kind of creepy. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 22Older Hotel
This hotel is older. It was clean and the room was very comfortable. However, the bathroom was far from modern with exposed pipes and cracks in walls. The hallways also had the odor of older hotels. For a 3 star hotel, it should have been in better condition. I should note again however that the room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 22RENOVATION NEEDS TO BE BETTER
THE HOTEL'S LOCATION WAS GOOD BUT THE FRONT WAS UNDER RENOVATION MAKING IT UNPLEASANT TO VIEW. THE UNDERGROUND PARKING LOOKS VERY OLD. THE ROOM'S SIZE WAS OK BUT IT HAS A SOMEWHAT MOLDY SMELL. THE RECEPTIONIST AND PEOPLE WERE WARM AND PLEASANT.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 22Difficult Location
The hotel was ok for the price. However, the location was out of the way and the neighborhood was questionable. It is listed as 6 blocks from the CN Tower. What they don't tell you is that 6 blocks by Toronto standards is about 1 1/2 miles long.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 22tried to please
The hotel is not in a good area to walk out at night there is no room service 24 hours a day and the resturant is closed off hours if you want anything to eat in the room it is best to bring it back with you the menu is limited when the resturant is open there is coffee to make in the room. a lot of young people come to the hotel since it is less money so be prepared for noise it is true when I called the help by the desk tried to quiet the groups however it was 2:00am when I got to sleep. If you want internet in your room this can be a problem as well as rooms are limited you must go outside and get your own cab I will say that when I complained about something the mangement did try to fix the problem. The hotel is old and needs a lot of work
