Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 35Working in the Travel and Leisure Industry
I am always personally scouting for great locations to book for my clients for their vacation and or corporate needs. This hotel though looks great on the website was way way way below my standards and expectations. The staff is curt, inexperienced and not properly trained in the hotel industry, has extremely limited knowledge of the town, and are not assisting in the economic stimulus of Palm Springs in the very least. The conditions of the hotel: Front Desk - upon check in the staff at the front desk was curt and had no clue as to how to deal with an avid travel. Room - clean and small and the air conditioning and heat was never consistant. Room Service - the food was cold, very late and the order was wrong. The Pool - there was no one from the hotel to open the umbrellas or open bar area or to assist the guests in any way. There really is no excuse for this type of service any time of the year. Very poor rating for this hotel.

We ordered from room service and when it arrived the halibut was raw. We called room service and they said they would send another. We told them No but 40 mins later another one came. Our dinner was already ruined by that time and we were in no mood to eat. The beds are uncomfortable and the hotel is noisy. The room doors don't close quietly so you hear doors slamming constantly all over the hotel. It's hard to sleep through that. We were scheduled to stay two nights but left around 10PM on the second night. We couldn't sleep with all the noise. We called the front desk but it didn't do any good. If you have kids and don't mind a lot of noise and you golf, then this is an okay place. Don't order room service.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 35Would stay there again if had to, but certainly not on the top of the list
Pool is small compared to the size of the hotel. Number of pool-side-chairs does not satisfy the number of the guests at the hotel. The hotel staff we encountered at the register or the restaurant were not the most proficient at customer service.

Reservation booked but the hotel room has changed prior to arrival. Supposely Deluxe Double Bed Pool View...then last min. changed and said NO longer available. Receptionist also has NO patience and not so helpful.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 35Needs improvement
Overall the hotel seemed clean and fairly well maintained. We brought out dog so we were in a first floor room. The carpet was stained. The mattress on the bed I had was tilted on the lamp side so that you felt like you were going to roll off onto the floor. Definitely need to do some mattress flipping. I was gone all day from 9 a.m. in the morning until after 10 p.m. When I got to my room it had not been made up. By that point I was too tired to worry about it. I don't see that they charged anything else to my account while I stayed (no resort fee or pet fee) so I'm not feeling all that bad about the place. It is incredibly convenient to visiting my family so will most likely stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 35Should be a 2 Star Hotel
The hotel lobby and swimming pool are very nice. The view from the swimming pool is gorgeous, but that's about it. The TV in the room didn't work and when we called the front desk to send someone to fix it, they ignored our request for 2 days. The rooms are too small. Also the coffee maker and refrigirator are in the bathroom!!! How would you like the coffee to be brewing while you're using the bathroom? The price wasn't cheap. This should be a 2 star hotel and much cheaper.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 8 of 35"Resort" is only in the name. This is more like a high end Motel
It has no resort amenities. Nice golf course views but that is it. Old, Old, Old. They need to buy new matress, pillows and linens.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 35Pretty good, except for one guy......
This hotel was actually not that bad. If not for one employee who was somewhat rude and confrontive, I would have rated the service much higher. The other employees seemed very helpful and courteous. Hopefully, the management is keeping an eye on stuff like this because its really not a bad hotel otherwise. I may give them another try in the future, but not right now.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 35HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL
I booked this hotel as a surprise get-away for my wife and I, on Valentines Day. I was THOUROUGHLY impressed when we arrived at the resort. It is SOOOOO much nicer than it shows in pictures and on thier wed site. So it was an absolute "let down" when I arrived and had to wait for 45 minutes in their lobby to check in. Due to the event of that night, I had called ahead THREE times to ensure the details were solid, they checked me in, and upon getting to my room, I noticed they had not taken ANY of my requests in. I was in the wrong type of room and when I walked back down stairs to tell the hostess, she replied hastly and rudely. It wasn't until I started to act more aggitated and my tone forced a manager to come see what the commotion was about, that the situation was handled. At this point I was 30 minutes late for my dinner reservations, that cost me an addition $100.00 for the broken reservation. Then I have put in a formal complaint with the hotel manager OVER a week ago... I have yet to recieve a phone call to resolve. I was VERY dissapointed in this experience. This hotel has the potential to be a 5 star resort, if they had the service it requires to achieve that.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 35In need of rennovation?
at least the room I got placed in - #401. everything was run down an old. I was told other rooms were better, but I see no reason to pay an additional "resort" fee when this was NOT like a resort at all. Overpriced for what the rooms were like.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 35Overpriced and watch out for the "Resort Fee" Rip Off
Although the hotel was beautiful on the outside and in a decent location for our trip plans, we were very dissatisfied with the accomodations. The room was old, stained and run down. I would have though I was at a motel six in the room. Although the room service was tasty, we couldn't believe that continental breakfast was not included! Especially since they gouge you with a ridiculous fifteen dollar "Resort Fee" that pays for your newspaper and coffee in the room (neither of which we used). I will not return and do not recommend this place. For the price, we could have done alot better!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 35The Doral Desert Princess "Resort"
Needs improvement! This hotel is past it's prime and loosing ground. Do resort fees make this a resort? Rooms always have irritating issues: 1 Clock blinking 12:00 or not plugged in. 2 Multiple lamps in room are intermittent. 3 TV Remote often won't work. 4 Room telephones filthy, not working. 5 They charge for internet access. 6 When I do buy internet service often can't connect to WiFi. 7 No knowledgeable technical help. 8 On the ground floor often can't easily open or lock sliding glass door. 9 Useless and expensive Business Center. 10 Dirty bed spread, carpet and curtains 11 Curtains won't close all the way. 12 Really pricey drinks in a depressing bar. 13 Improperly made bed, often. 14 Housekeeping really misses the details but some basics too. Looks and feels like owners are just holding on, waiting to sell property. Still, barely acceptable for the $xx. ($xxx. after "Resort" Tax) This is not a 3.5 star property.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 35Not good service, not clean room
We didn't like the room because it was not very clean. This hotel is over rated.
