Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 53Good rooms bad food
The rooms are comfortable, modern and roomy. all the accomodation is what you want. I just prefer boutique hotels. This place is huge. The restaurant is really lacking in any imagination or even honesty in the menu. Stay here if you want, don't eat here!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 53Good service & accommodations, but dirty room killed it all
The restaurant & bar staff were very friendly and provided great service. The environment and furnishings were plush. We encountered a couple of issues though, one minor & one major. The minor issue was that they had no record of the breakfast which was included in the rate we booked. The guy who checked us in said it was no problem and promptly added the breakfast to our booking, but it was a bit annoying that it wasn't already noted. The major issue was the cleanliness of the room. At first we found plastic shirt stays on the floor (no big deal), but when we found toenail clippings, it proved a bit much. No excuse for it. Disgusting. We won't stay again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 53Terrible Service
It was next to impossible to get someone on the phone for anything. It took over five minutes of the phone ringing to get the hotel operator to answer the phone. Front desk wasn't any better. Asked for extra towels, never showed up. Parking charges were inappropriate and should be included in room charge. Good location, but not worth the price. Will not stay here again. Only good thing at the hotel was the bar/grill downstairs.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 53Good
Good service, clean, nice all that. Every thing you could possibly want or use costs and they don't mind running up the bill for it either! Parking, internet, food is expensive, take lots of small bills they expect tips for everything under the sun!

the room was okay. the restaurant in the hotel needs improvement.the food was not very good and kind of pricey.there is no places close to the hotel to eat unless you like subway.the pool is outside and very small(41/2feet deep end)and the hot tub was broken.it also costs to park your car overnight.
Hotel Response
Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to post your comments. The hotel is currently coming out of a $90 million renovation, and not all of our new features are up and running. The hotel's new and improved fitness area and outdoor hot tub will be ready within the next two weeks, and will be a great place for our guests to work out and relax. The hotel also currently offers three dining options including Draft Media Sports Lounge, The kitchen Table Restaurant, Peet's Coffee and Tea, and Chill Frozen Yogurt is opening soon. The hotel is also connected via skywalks to the Plaza of the Americas which offers many dining options. We thank you agin for your comments as we strive to provide the best customer service and amenities to all of our guests. Sincerely, Hotel Management

the hotel was very nice and the rooms were very roomy--but i think for the price you pay it needs to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The gift shop was very expensive for things.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 53Recommended, but with a warning
The price of the hotel room was good for the location (downtown Dallas), for the comfort, and the for the room, but I want to let everyone know that even though I paid for this room through Hotels.com, the hotel wanted me to give them a crdeit card in the event that I used any of thier service that I would normally be billed for i.e. High speed internet, pay movies etc. Not a problem. What I did have a problem with, was that the clerk who checked me in and took my card, went and basically charged me for my room on that card, AGAIN, and put me over my limit, messed up my interest rate on that card for going over, and put me in town without any money. The management said they woudl take care of the problem, but it wouldn't be until the next day! I had to raise Hell to get the manager to come from his office to speak to me in person, and get him to take car of it NOW. When I was standing there waiting for him to remedy the problem, I saw a few clerks ask for the deposit from other customers, but ask for $50 cash if they had it. If I would have been made aware of this option, I would have done this, and saved myself lots of trouble. So this is my advice to you; give them the money, and kepp your card safe from error.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 53Needs lots of improvement
The dinner buffet consisted of chicken fried steak (looked like a TV dinner),hot dogs, very small salad bar (4 items), and fruit. Very unsatisfied. Our room was "cleaned" however they left no towels and garbage was not thrown away. The room service tray was taken out of the room but the tray was left in the hall until the next afternoon. Also saw other trays of breakfast that were left in hall until late afternoon. Hotel needs updating.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 53NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING
We did get a good price for our room but will stay some where else next trip. The hotel is under remodeling so there were times the front entrance was blocked. The hotel is extremely large and so we spent alot of time walking around looking for things. They did have us checked in the wrong room at first but quickly got that corrected. We were also expecting a smoking room seen how thats what we reserved and then found out upon arival that its a smoke free hotel. not very happy about having to go down 26 floors to have a smoke!!!! The elevators weren't working right!!! And there were several school groups there and the staff allowed them to run around the hotel screaming, jumping around, and playing around in the elevators. The indoor swimming pool was also extremly dirty with some kind of mold around the edge of it!!!! The rooms itself is nice if you just need somewhere to sleep....if I went again I would just stay in the room!!!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 53Horrible Service
Stayed in the room for a romantic getaway. Everything was nice but ordered room service and food cart was never picked up. After coming back to the hotel that night the food was still in the room along with an awful odor. Called downstairs to report this issue and someone came up to take away food and clean the room within 30 minutes. For this inconvenience we received a "fruit basket." Great customer service...

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 53Don't Look for Service
The initial service from the hotel staff was wonderful but it pretty much went down hill after that. We ordered room service the first night and was unable to pull the table into the hallway the next morning. The next day after getting out and coming back in to a relaxing room we found that our room had not been touched. The food had been out all day and smelled awful. The bad wasn't made and of course we were out of clean towels. When we finally got a hold of house-keeping we were sent a lovely fruit basket for our troubles...how sweet!!!
