Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 156Needs Improvement
Room was very dusty. Billed us for things which we didn't ask for - later refunded but not the point. Internet provided at the extortionate rate of $15 pn. Go to a $30 motel and get it for free. Try calling the front desk and you will never get an answer. Not the service I expect from a 4* hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 156no ventilation in the bathroom
We stayed at NY NY last week-- the Broadway Deluxe with 2 beds. The room is spacious, but there's no ventilation fan in the bathroom, or it's broken.

We were disappointed that we did not receive the room we booked. We wanted a king bed and had to settle for two double beds. Also, the TV was small, not a flat screen and the channel selection was limited. Staying in Vegas we expected better.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 156Great Hotel.... So-So Rooms
The hotel itself is fantastic... great location, restaurants, bars, clubs and casinos. The rooms were just okay. They have the kind of gross nylon bedspreads that don't ever get washed. The pillows are tucked inside these bedspreads. The beds were like sleeping on a slab of granite... just horrible. Checking in took FOREVER. They didn't have enough staff and they ask each person a million questions... do you want to upgrade, what is your e-mail address, do you want show tickets... etc etc. If you are looking for great fun and entertainment... perfect hotel. If you want to have great service or decent sleep... look elsewhere.

It was an okay hotel stay, but requested a king size bed in our room and were given two queens instead.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 156Not worth!!
First of all, I reserve non-smoking with full payment online, yet only smoking available unless add extra charge to other room type. Then with the discount rate I got, eventually is a room without window!!! My wife and I are so unsatisfy. Lastly, the bath tub was stuck.. lousy. I can easily find other hotel along the strip with this rate.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 156Toxic Waste Dump, But Cheap-ish
Crowded, incredibly noisy (even for Vegas), smoky (even for Vegas), unimpressive rooms, terrible casino floor layout -- just an all-around bad experience. South Strip location is good for accessing other properties, but frankly the MGM directly across the street (and connected via a bridge) is cleaner, more pleasant, less smoky, and offers rooms at more-or-less the same price points. The only way I'll set foot in NYNY again is to go see Zumanity, and even then I wouldn't rent a room there -- I'd just go straight to the theater and then hightail it out of the hotel. Bad.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 156"Room for Improvement"
Although this hotel is at a desirable location, the quality, service, and staff leaves much room for improvement. The check-in staff was rude, as well as the pool service staff. The pool area was shaded until noon, and much too small and crowded to be enjoyable. The food at the hotel was marginal and service unfriendly. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, and the extra $$ for a "Park View" room was not worth the extra expense.

Good hotel but the casino is not as good as their neighbors. This is my second stay; I still have same comment.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 156terrible room at NYNY
I got put in one of the towers that turns out is directly behind the rollercoaster and I paid what I thought was a high amount for it. First, the "strip view" is really just a view of the roller coaster w/ a little of the excalibur. Second, the room was straight out of the seveneties brown on brown, with a bathtub I don't know who would sit in. Gross. I've seen better at the Best Western. Third, I went to sleep in one of the double beds only to realize a couple of hours later that there was some sort of sand/grit on the sheets and I got a rash from it. I just didn't have time to do a middle of the night move, so I had to make do with the other bed. Fourth, I needed to get clothes laundered for my meeting the following morning and paid extra for the rush for the following morning. They claimed they left a message on my phone that it was ready but there was no message light flashing on my phone in the room. I had to track them down and tell them to bring it up to my room. And so I was late to my meeting. I have nothing good to say about my stay there.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 156vegas trip
This hotel has a lot to see and inside, but it's actually a little too busy. The casino floor is unusually noisy with so many clubs and businesses. A good part of the strip is under construction and is dirty and looks terrible. The NYNY is very near one end of the strip so you have to walk or drive thru the mess to get anywhere. Good restaurants, relatively small pool. It's a perfectly adequate hotel, the room was nice, tho the bathroom was a little dated. I can say I've stayed there, but I doubt I would again.

We were very excited about staying at the New York New York and in the end very disappointed. Dark, rather small rooms, on the way to our room we always met dirty dishes on the floor, which weren't collected for the whole day. Compulsory charge of $ 3.00 per day for phone calls! We didn't need to use the phone. When we booked we looked out for a hotel with a gym. It didn't mention that the gym was located withing the spa aerea and that there was a cost of $ 22.00 per person. One more rip off and Vegas is full of those.
