Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 26you pay for the name and location
the room was small for the price.I've stayed at cheaper hotels that had much more to offer.unless your wealthy and prefer room service which was very pricey.the lobby was very pretty but the rooms were smaller than I imagined they would be for the price.I expected a luxurious room with space...was very dissapointed..ceiling fan could only work on low as it bounced and rattled and the room wasn't very clean.I paid for the name and location and will never go back

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 26too little service for too much money
The hotel front desk staff was nice until I had to change room locations. I asked for an oceanfront room and they put me in one BEHIND the restaurant. The only way I could have seen the ocean was if I climbed that wall. Wanted extra fees for internet, tiny microwave, and refrigerator- ammenities that are free at lower than this price hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 26Needs Major Updates!
The staff at the hotel was very friendly. However the hotel is way too pricey considering the rooms were dated. The lobby of the hotel is very nice, but the rooms are just okay. The carpet in the halls are very worn and dirty looking. The rooms weren't that clean. The rug in the bathroom was torn up, bath tub clogged up. The armoir in the room was extremely dusty, and the tv is a console, not a flat screen that's ridiculous. We weren't given the room that I booked online either. Overall not worth the price at all!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 7 of 26Parking fee were not disclosed
The hotel was great, but the parking fees were very high. To park across the street cost $7/day and valet was $17/day. These fees were not disclose on Hotel.com website. They also charged for internet in your room, but not in the common areas. This was also not disclosed.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 26"Disappointed"
They advertise as an oceanfront resort, but they don't have balconies!!! The location is a plus... but, we had to change rooms because of mosquitoes. The front desk management was spologetic and accomodating.

The Hilton is beautiful on the outside in a great location, but the rooms and service are only average. They charge you if you use the valet services and if you don't use valet services. They also charge an early checkout fee ($50.00) if you want to leave early. Overall, it was just OK.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 26Not worth the price
at this hotel, u need to pay for parking each day of your stay there. The parking lot is located a few buildings behind the hotel with a 10 minute walk and security is not there 24 hr a day. The pools are small...For the cost to stay at this hotel, i will not recommend it to anyone. I surely expected more for the hilton, their other hotels are a lot better than this one.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 26Good deal for a weekend away
The price was good for a seaside room, however Hilton's standards weren't as high as I'd expect. Upon arriving at the hotel we had to wait in line for a half hour before we could check in. Other guests told us they had waited between an hour to 2 and a half hours. That's ridiculous! The rooms were lower quality I guess from the rough wear of sand and wet swimsuits. The live "tropical" band was somewhat annoying - we would have preferred they didn't play. Service was not always quick and expedient. We went into one of the hotel's restaurants for lunch - it was 2:30 and had no more than 4 seated tables - the waitress said she was swamped and if we wanted to stay it would be a 45 minute wait on food. She obviously didn't want to serve us - even when we made it easy by coming to her with our orders and getting our water and soda from the bar so she didn't have to take our order and bring it to us. This hotel and stay at Daytona was the equivalent of a Carnival cruise. You get what you paid for.

Really disappointed. The hotel failed in most key areas. Front desk coordination, valet service, room cleanliness, overcharging for parking. Just a really bad experience. I let Hilton Honors know about it.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 26Hilton Hotel Greatly Disappoints
I have stayed at this particular hotel approx once or twice a year, many times over the years, even going back to when it was an Adams Mark. Every other time there I stayed "ocean side." This time I had to stay in a room that was categorized as "city-side" and it was a much different experience. First of all, I wasn't expecting much of a view, but what I had (from the 5th floor) was nothing BUT the roof of the building below and sky---no other view. Not that the view was all that important to me considering I am a business traveler, but this was ridiculous! Another thing that was much more noticeable during this stay than ever before, was the sound that could be heard from adjacent rooms. There was way too much noise at night and seemingly in every direction. Finally, and this was the topper... Apparently, the hotel has installed water saving spigots and shower heads... much like the ones that are found in public facilities...the ones that need to be pushed at regular intervals to stay on. I kid you now when I tell you that I must have hit that bathroom water spigot 5o times just to get my teeth brushed and shaved. And then the shower (tub had hair in it) had a "second" shower head installed that let so little water out that I could hardly rinse myself after soaping up. In a Hilton hotel charging the rates that they do... this is ridiculous. I will never stay there again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 26Is this Luxury?
The first impression upon arriving at this hotel was -where is the bell captain or head valet?- because the parking situation was chaotic. After 45 minutes I realized the problem was due to Daffy Duck being in charge of the parking operations. This hotel since it is across the street from the convention center has elected to make parking a profit center. Hence parking at this hotel is not free. But worse than that is that the parking lot if full then requires that if you want your car near to the hotel to park in the valet parking for $17.00 a night. Over thanksgiving I stayed at a Comfort Inn in Brooklyn, whereat there was no charge for parking, but there is a charge for parking at the luxury hotel in Daytona Beach. This however was not the worse event. After being told that I had to pay for parking I was also told that I could not leave the bags (no bell captain)but would need to trudge across the street after parking. Upon going outside after checking in I was informed by the valet that the parking lot was full and that I would have to pay for Valet parking. I proceeded to the parking lot only to find from the attendant that indeed the parking lot was full but that the valet parking service at the north tower could validate my ticket for regular parking.(Shouldn't the registration clerk have informed me of this?) I then proceeded to the North Tower where due to the fact that Daffy and Donald were running the show I waited inline for 30 minute to give the car to a valet. So from check in to the time I actually took the bags out of the car 45 minutes. As to the room the layout was fine but no better or worse than a Comfort Inn. I did find that the two dead roaches in the bathroom, the cracked lap shade and the apparent caramel smudged on the room door were less than what should be expected at any hotel. Also I used a cup to brew tea the first evening. I guess this was a problem since the next day I found only one cup remaining in the room. To operate the elevators

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 26So so
I was expecting the Hilton to be really nice. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hilton for a mini weekend vacation. We got the oceanfront room, which was just ok for the price we paid. The view is beautiful, but I just expected more. If your going to stay I would say save your money and just get a regular room because it will probably be the same as staying in an oceanfront.
