Tired and worn

I use to stay at this hotel when my daughter competed in dance competitions. The hotel is worn and while our room appeared to have a new bed cover and carpet it was felt tired and worn. The bathroom was definately in need of new bath tiles etc. It was okay but I wouldn't go again.

Would have been fine for a lower end hotel...

Stayed at the Wyndham for 4 nights. Ended up being fairly disappointed with the room I got. I will start off with what I enjoyed about my stay. - Friendly people at the front desk. - Pretty quiet room. - Very close to VTA Light Rail. Here's what I did not enjoy. - Mold in the shower. - Broken drain stop in the bath tub. - Very uncomfortable, worn down beds. - Only 2 outlets that one could use, 1 if you needed coffee. Inconveniently placed as well, as I tend not to use my laptop at the sink. - Very thin sheets. - Housekeeping did not restock my shampoos or soaps when I was out. - TV checkout did not work. - Had to ask for teabags for my room. - No room to iron anything, thanks to the lack of outlets. - Heard the light rail all night. - Unable to get fresh air in my room. - Called the front desk to find a place that delivered to the hotel. Was told I'd be called back, but never was. Had to speak with a manager to get an answer, 2 hours later. - Hotel is not within walking distance of affordable food: only a convenience store and a Denny's. - Heating/cooling controls did not allow for turning off the A/C. October in San Jose...A/C is not really needed. At all. For a Wyndham, I expected a lot better, no matter how much I paid.

The place is loud and smells bad

The room smelled like body odor and the halls smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed was hard, which is ok for some, not for me. I personally do not want to stay there again.

Disappointed

The soaps were taken away from my room on the second day and never put back. Mold was found on the bathroom ceiling. Free internet access coupon was not offered at the time of check-in. I had to go back to the front desk and asked for it. Front desk attendant didn't ask for my room preference at the time of check-in. Continental breakfast was not included. No skin lotion was available even when we asked the cleaning maids for it. Overall condition of the room was old. It seems that it hasn't been maintained for at least 10 years.

could be better

Hotel was hosting a dance-a-thon during our stay. The two lobby areas were completely taken over by participants practicing. My husband called from the airport so the shuttle could pick him up. Even though he spoke to a "live" person who verified he was a guest, when I checked for his arrival, I was told he had never called in.

Close to the airport but very old.

This hotel is close to the airport but it is very old and in poor shape. The shower made a screaching noice, and you could plainly hear the guests in the room next door.

Good for the price, but...

If you like to visit the fitness room while you are staying at a hotel, this hotel is NOT recommended. The fitness room was boiling hot. Also, if you are like me that usually "forget" shampoo and conditioners, the only have a new pack available upon arrival. They do not bother to store your room with new ones if they don't see it on the sink. If you ask for it, they will of course give it to you, it is just a little irritating though.

Hotel is getting old not a good value

Hotel staff was not well trained took a long time to get checked in Room has paper pealing off of the walls the carpet was worn Overall looks to be a solid 15 years since it has been upgraded I am surprised Wyndam keeps their flag on this place

Suprised

The exterior of the hotel was wonderful and well maintained, but once we checked in.... Skeleton staff, room was dirty, mold growing in bathroom, had 1 serving and 1 cup of coffee provided in the room, AC did not work... no one to provide help with luggage, shuttle not running, hotel cafe closed. I know we arrived on the 4th of July, but a lot of my issues were from long term neglect.

Expected MORE

Expected more from a Wyndham! AC didn't work, although were we were given a new room, this was not what i expected from a wyndham, but for what I paid, it was worth it; had i paid more i would have been completely disappointed.

Try and find somewhere else

Closet door unable to slide since off the track. Not able to be fixed. Wallpaper torn in several spots. Toilet seat chipped. Plates, glasses, etc still outside rooms after 24 hours. A drink vending machine in which the drinks are kept at room temperature. $50 room deposit still not refunded after a week and half.
