Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 156Watch out for hidden fees
They had a hidden $20/night fee. I suppose I agreed to pay it without realizing it, but any place willing to trade in their reputation for $20 a night isn't really worth staying at again. You never know where else they're cutting corners.

Hidden costs - $20 per day for use of the facilities whether you used them or not. Very expensive breakfast.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 156Watch out, everybody
It is really important to note that after you've made your reservation commitment, and your credit card has been charged, you will receive a separate email from the hotel with the "Helpful Info" that you will be charged an additional, large, nightly fee for the use of the facilities, which includes spa entrance, internet access and newspaper. Then, when you get to the hotel, the spa will be closed, there will be no newspaper at your door (you have to get it in the lobby, which nobody mentions), and there's a big sign in the room announcing the hourly rate to use the internet, which you are evidently supposed to ignore. I am outraged at this bait and switch tactic. The posted rate plus this extra fee is equivalent to a larger room in a much nicer hotel. The staff will blame all this on the "new owner." I don't know who the new owner is, but my recommendation is that you don't give him any of your money. I regret that I gave him mine.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 4 of 156Bug Bites
I stayed at Treasure Island and we ended up getting mosquito or some sort of bug bites. Otherwise, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 156Great hotel, not great service
Just to be clear, when i'm playing $100 a hand blackjack, the last thing i need is a haggered old waitress standing behind me saying, "do you need change? do you need change? do you need change for a tip?" for the $3 beer she just gave me. I don't mind tipping. In fact, i usually overtip. What i do mind is being coerced into tipping when im busy gambling. Other than this pitiful display, the rooms were great. Very comfortable bed. Great view. Although as with all hotels, probably 25% of the towels you get are gunked up with stains.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 156Customer Service Needs Improvement
Although the beds were comfortable and remade daily, the sheets weren't changed and the hallways in the casino/ theater areas were not maintained well as I slipped on a slice of lime in one of them and had a bad fall. This should have been a time the hotel would be especially careful in regard to safety issues as I was there to attend an AARP convention and there were thousands of AARP members walking around.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 156OK, but wouldn't stay there again
Hotel was nice, clean, very average. Nothing special. Bed was very uncomfortable (there were four of us in the room and we all agreed on this point). This was enough to keep any of us from ever going there again. Check-in was a nightmare. Staff was friendly and helpful, but needed twice as many. Great buffet lunch in the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 156Noisy
We found the hotel clean and the service good but it was very noisy at night. Also, someone was able to open our room's door during the night. If we hadn't had the saftey latch on, we may have had trouble. Not having a coffee pot in the room was very inconvenient to us as serious coffee drinkers. On the plus side, the food we got from room service was good.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 156Staff needs help
From the Front Desk to the Valet they need help. It started with the Bell Man ignoring me when I needed to get luggage out of the car. It took 45 Min. to check in, and Valet not helping or holding the door when I needed to put luggage back in the car. Everybody wants the hand-out (tip) but does not want to work for it. Does not include the foul language the employees where using inside the casino.

Rooms are to small for the price you have to pay for them.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 156Not thrilled
If you have the option of staying at a hotel for the same price as TI and the same amenties do it! The check in people were rude, the pool is real crowded and you have to walk through the casino to get there. The buffet was horrible! I went to the sushi station and you had a choice of 2 different types of nori on a plate with one california roll that did even have real crab in it! They would not make you a seperate plate of anything fresh! The salad was all premade The fitness room was 4 treadmills 2 ellipticals, one stepper and a set of free weights in a hotel room because they were doing construction. They didn't even hook up the TV to the equipment.. I wouldn't go back

room was gorgeous and view fantastic,BUT,from the check in there were problems.sent me to 2 queens even though verified at desk that requested a king.when called to complain they said come get keys to different room and when I went to get keys THE SAME person would not give them to me because I didnt have license with me so I had to go back to the 29th floor for my ID.The front desk asst mgr also was rather unfriendly and acted like it was my problem and was an infringement on them to make a change. Then when we got to the right room it only took a minute to find the toilet was not working and was a MAJOR issue.Fortunately I found a housekeeping person who called for help. After that was resolved I thought all was now good but in the middle of the night I woke to drunk people yelling in the hall and banging on doors, then to the people next door throwing up all night. The walls are paper thin.UNbelievable for such a big hotel. ALso,the smoke drifting up from the casinos fills the hallways.
