Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 15a little disappointed
The hotel was very pretty and quiet. I did like the hotel but it wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. It would've been find if it wasn't so expensive. However the room service was awesome but really expensive. Tasted great. The room was super small and I was really disappointed with the bathroom, the shower is not friendly to people who do not like confined spaces. I wish I would've known that. Because the hotel is historic it beautiful but also pretty spooky. Great place for a romantic anniversary trip. The staff was friendly as well. They take pets but there is now patch of grass outside of the hotel for miles so it was troublesome to take my dog outside because he only goes on grass.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 15Want to pay to sleep on the floor
We booked a room with a king size bed. When we checked in we received a Queen. Called the front desk to check on what could be done. My brother spent his Honeymoon on the floor. He could have done that for free at home. No other rooms were available and so we were told we could only have the Queen even though we had booked the room 3 days in advance. called later to talk to the General manager and was told I would receive a phone call back in 30-45 min. Its been 2 days and I haven't heard from them. Even if you use a 3rd party like Hotels.com you should be able to have some kind of resolution to the problem.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 15Missing Some Conveniences
The hotel was comfortable, beautiful and clean. However it is in a noice location. Parking is not convenience. I was not please with not have breakfast room service. I should have checked that prior to reservations. Thank goodness thay had a coffee bar in the lobby. Unfortunatly a lot of businessed in the city are closed on Sunday, we could not get a bagel or a danish for a quick breakfas. For the cost, it is not a place that I would stay again or recommend.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 15Just okay
Upon check-in the first room's air conditioner did not work and neither did the television. It took another ten to fifteen minutes to get me another room. I was not happy because I had already had a long day and was very hot and ready to shower. When I got in the other room it was cool but the air conditioner made so much noise that I woke up several times during the night and had to turn the television up loud in order to hear it. I had room service the first night and paid $96 for a fatty and tough filet mignon and under cooked and bland calamari. Worst room service food I've had. Valet parking was $14/night and was outdoors. So your car was exposed to whatever elements and you essentially could self park in the same location for $4 less. The concierge was very helpful and professional. Decor was pretty. Would not stay there again considering what I got.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 15Very Small Rooms and you have to PAY to park
The room we were in was so small the door hit the bed. The sink was in the bedroom because it would not fit in the bathroom. If you like your knees to hit the tub when you are sitting on the pot this is the place for you. The room was noisy with the sound of something running like a large motor underneath us. We must have been put above the boiler room because the walls also vibrated. The bed was the only good thing about this place. The staff was not exceptionally friendly. And to top it all off we had to PAY FOR PARKING. We paid twice as much to park than it said on the sign going in to park.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 15Insanely small rooms
I booked a king size bed/room for myself and my teenage daughter for one night. We were given a queen bed instead and then told there were no rooms available though I barely saw anyone else on our floor. There was no room for a suitcase except in the small hall which would have blocked the door, the noise from the fan was deafening and kept us awake all night. If we turned it off we couldn't breathe. The large windows are painted shut. The bathroom is equally hard to manuver in. One reaches under the skin to get to the TP. Tiny. When I tried to talk to them I got no help. Parking is expenive in their "self park" lot, though convenient.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 15Disappointing
My stay at the Peery Hotel was just ok. Definitely not worth what I paid for one night. The room is REALLY small and I noticed some of the staff had pretty bad attitudes. They were arguing with each other right in front of me and my husband. It was hard to watch. Oh, and they lost our reservation and made us pay a ridiculous amount for one night of parking. The bed was comfortable and the other furniture nice. I just expected more for what I paid.

The room was so very small and the bathroom was tiny. No mention was made that there would be an extra charge for parking. The hotel has charm but I was disappointed.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 15property is falling apart... literally.
The property is falling apart, literally. I was unable to lock my first room (143), and when I requested a new one, the second shift manager asked me if i was sure it didn't lock. He finally gave in to the notion that I wasn't going to remain in that room, and promptly put me in the adjoining room (144). He then was upset because I didn't want the room adjoining an UNLOCKABLE room. The next room (249) I was given had a floor that was so rotted I was truly afraid of twisting an ankle. So much so that I actually had to leave and find another room elsewhere. I really didn't expect much from any Days Inn property, but this was downright ridiculous.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 15Not roomy for the money
Beautiful lobby; great location for walking around downtown and catching the tram. Very small room; bathroom and shower only.

If you are used to sleeping on a king bed you will hate the queen beds in most of the rooms.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 12 of 15Fine old hotel, showing her age
Clean but a bit shabby around the upholstery. Good location with many eateries near by. Excellent Italian food (especially the eggplant) right next door at Macaroni. Many of the normal Salt Lake City tourist goals within easy walking distance.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 15Matchbox Rooms
If you're looking for an inexpensive and centrally located lodging this is a great place. Service was outstanding. The hotel is within walking distance of great shopping area, movie theaters, and lots of restaurants. However, I believe this hotel has the smallest room in the nation. When entering the room you walk right into the bed (not exaggerating). I think my walk-in closet at home is bigger than the hotel room. If you're a business traveler, the working area within the room is extremely cramped for performing business tasks. If you're looking for a romantic get a way, well you'll definitely be close to one another! The hotel does have many different sized rooms, so make sure you know which one you're getting.
