Bad Customer Service

This hotel was not in a very desirable nieghborhood. The Manager was very un professional and extremely unaccomodating. I would strongly advise anyone not to stay at this property.

Good location but needs work

this is in a good location on Connecticut Ave but is a small and aging hotel with few amenities on site. Small cramped room, basically clean, but not up the 3 stars and price per my expectiations. If I could afford it, I would stay across the street at the Hilton.

Overpriced

Decent Hotel--But drastically overpriced....I got a small corner room and it was not worth the money....

Rip off

This hotel was way too expensive for what it had to offer. At most one should pay 100$ a night for such a place. Definitely do not stay here if you need to do work during your stay. Although they promise internet in your room, the internet does not work and even the hotel staff can do little about it. With all of that said there was a very nice clerk that did his best to assist during a very frustrating stay.

Not worth its price

The hotel service was quite unfriendly and not satisfying. Room was clean but loud.

Needs Improvement

We were not prepared for the $20 plus tax "valet parking" and then were met with the fact that we had to unpack the trunks from the top of our car because it wouldn't fit (they said) under the car port entrance. This caused much work and frustration. Many of the hotel workers did not speak english and this inability to communicate further exacerbated the situation.

customer service needs improving

I checked in just fine, however, when I got to the room, it was not ready. The restroom was still a mess. The housekeeper was very upset that we were in the room, and cursed under his breath. About 5 minutes later the front desk called and said that they had to switch rooms. They did apologize, but no offer of help or discount was offered for the inconvenience. Other than that, it was an ok stay.

Great location-but cramped

The rooms were adequate, but cramped and the bathroom was especially small. We had two teenagers in the room with us and we were constantly bumping into each other. The hotel would be great for couples or business travelers since it's located near a lot of interesting restaurents as well as the zoo. The mandatory valet parking posed a daily hassle of having to request your car before departing and the daily $25 parking fee added a significant expense to the overall cost of the stay. The outside pool would be nice in the summer, but during Spring, it was not in use. The breakfast was excellent with cook to order waffles and eggs, but the daily cost added more expense to the stay. Again, the hotel would be great for couples looking for a "romantic getaway," but not ideal for a family. If on a budget, make sure you factor in the daily parking fee as well as the breakfast. These are features many comparable hotels offer as part of the room cost.
