Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 149Needs improvement
The hotel offers "free wifi" but it doesn't work, even from the lobby. I had to use the office computer/printer to print my boarding passes and it took forever. We think they are using one DSL line for the entire hotel. The breakfast was minimal and the room was on the clean side but not very comfortable. The towels were very rough. Not having paid very much, I wasn't too concerned, but we definitely got what we paid for (not much)

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 149Good if you just need a place to sleep
Would not recommend this place for an extended stay. Okay if you don't plan to spend much time there. Rooms are very small. Place was pretty clean. Some of the patrons were scary looking.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 149Our stay at Microtel, PA airport
Our night at Microtel at the Philly Airport was not the best night we have had in a 2 star hotel and I suppose it wasn't the worst. The halls stunk of old cigarette smoke even though we were in a non smoking wing. The side door, which had a security lock on it, remained slightly ajar throughout our stay, both upon our arrival near midnight and in the morning. We were never informed about the continental breakfast, yet there was remanants and mess from it when we came down around 9:30 in the morning. The guest information in the room was stained and pages were stuck together. The beds and linens appeared clean, as were the towels, although, there were 3 adults and only 3 smallish bathtowels. I would probably not stay in a Microtel again, unless I was able to check it out personally before I booked the room.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 6 of 149Dinky Rooms
Dinky Rooms - The room was so small that my wife (4'-8" tall) and I (5'-6" tall)had to step aside for one or the other to pass whenever going to the door or bathroom or where-ever. The dresser was built-in and had 2 drawers the size of a letter file cabinet. The closet would hold just a small amount of hanging clothes and not large enough to put in a suitcase - unless of course that suitcase was standing upright. Finding a place to put your luggage was another story in itself. The breakfast area was far to small for the amount of guests. the continental breakfast was lacking in numerous ways.

It was not kept very well. On my floor, there was an odd odor. For the price I expected more.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 149Small rooms, poor customer service
The room was much smaller than other motels I've stay in. The TV was on top of a closet, and very hard to watch, no wireless internet. Little to no desk to work on. Upon checkout the person stated a receipt would be sent e-mail, 4 days later and 2 phone calls, I still have no payment record. Perhaps they don't understand expense reports and receipts need turned in to employers. I would not stay here again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 149The basics. And pretty much nothing but.
Let's get this out of the way now--if you're bringing a family of more than, oh, TWO, seek asylum elsewhere--the rooms are way too small. Try not to sit at the desk while watching the high-stowed television; your neck will thank you. And, also, Young Lady in the Office Who Picked Her Nose While I Checked In...do well to close the door next time you do that. Or, y'know...invest in a hanky. One more thing--if you need a plunger, make sure they stick around to take it back. (Don't ask how I know that, just do the math.) That said, for a room so small, it's not really that bad. There's a nice little duvet at the window to enjoy the view, the bed is rather comfortable, and you're within walking distance of a Ruby Tuesday that makes some rather good eats. For a basic overnight stay (like mine), it's acceptable.

Hotel was average. I didn't feel it was overly clean or overly comfortable. Also the security was questionable; the back door was never locked so key entry wasn't required. It is however a good location to the airport.

Shuttle driver was helpful and nice. Unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Our room smelled very bad, faucet in kitchen area sink was broken, and the coffee maker had issues. Would not stay here again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 149Horrible Hotel
The outside of this hotel looked new and up to date, but once we stepped inside we knew right away that we picked a hotel that we wouldn't be happy staying in. As we approached our room we could tell some rooms had been painted. The halls were dark and dirty. We stepped into our room and we instantly got sick to our stomachs from the look and smell of the property. It was very old. And it was filthy. We didn't know if it had ever been cleaned. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned from the last guests. The next morning we went to breakfast and the floor was sticky and dirty. The handles of things weren't clean and we just wanted to get out of there. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and we will never stay at another Microtel.
