Needs Improvement

We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to our vacation destination. It was in very evident need of renovation. The floor was damp,the room smelled musty, and the bathroom was tiny. The hotel staff was rude. I don't think they even know what "customer service" means. The beds, however; were very comfortable and looked brand new. We slept well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't "just passing through." Do not look at the pictures on the internet. They did not reflect what our room was like in the very least.

Great price, Great View, Yuck Fleas and vomit! Needs work!!!

The room was okay for a place to crash for the night. View of ocean was great, but the curtain wouldn't open and close without my husband getting on chair to make it happen. Kitchen was nice, but we had to buy a skillet. Room had fleas, owner had just took over and was "fixing it up". They immediately sprayed for fleas, then put on new bedspreads. Noticed that nite the bedspread had dried vomit on the backside of it. Huge amount with rice in it!! GROSS!! We wanted to stay one more night (just because of the ocean) and the room was going up $20.00 just because it was saturday. The room was the same same cruddy place we had been for 5 days why did it rate $20.00 more all of a sudden? The bathroom was so small a tall person couldn't shut the door to use it. The door actually smacked into the tub. Plus it leaked constantly. Pay more and go elsewhere. Or if needing a bargain, Beware don't expect much. Okay for 1-3 days, 5 or more and your over it!

Bath tub would not drain, and ants in the bed.

Front desk was awful

The hotel front desk was not staffed at check in to handle the amount of customers that were there trying to check in. Had to get towels from the front desk. My room door card quit working 3 times, so I had to go down from the 3rd floor to the front desk to get it re-coded. We stayed there last year and it was a nicer visit. The chairs at the pool were about half as many as last year, not sure why. Made it hard to enjoy the pool this year.

Needs improvement

The bathrooms are very small and the hotel staff would just enter your room without announcing themselves. The location is fairly convenient to most things.

the shower did not work until the afternoon after check in-did not feel or look clean, burned out light bulb, microwave did not work well

Not worth the money

The hotel was not clean the floor was not vaccumed the one of the beds were not made and the mattress had stains.The first night we saw roaches in the room on the refrigerator. The sliding glass door to the balcony did not work properly which caused us to get stuck in the balcony. We were unable to close the door .We contacted hotel staff the next day about the problems and after five hours had to recontact hotel staff again no staff came to fix the door.We wanted to speak to manager on duty and hotel receptionist told us that no manager was on duty,while speaking to the staff a person approached and said she was in charge the manager. Who changed our room the next day.Unhappy with the condition of the hotel and the hotel staff .Further the hotel has only one ice machine on the seventh floor,unable to get ice half of the time because the machine was empty.I was was upset and did not enjoy my stay ruined my vacation,I do not recommend Hotels place above location on the web site.

DIDN'T GET TO STAY BECAUSE THE ROOM WASN'T READY AND THE ON LINE RESERVATION DIDN'T HAVE ME DOWN AS A PET FRIENDLY ROOM. GUEST WERE LINED UP OUTSIDE THE LOOBY WAITING TO CHECK IN. THERE ROOMS WERE NOT READY. THIS WAS AT FOUR OCLOCK CHECK IN TIME. THE DESK CLERK WAS VERY SLOW. THE OTHER DESK CLERK WAS KINDA NASTY. DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO GET ME IN A ROOM. THE WAY I SAW IT THEY OVER BOOKED THE SAME ROOMS. EFIENCY OCEAN FRONT ROOM. I GOT PISSED AND LEFT. ENDED UP IN A ROOM IN ANOTHER MOTEL NOT SO GOOD EITHER. MY NEXT VACATION SPOT WILL NOT BE IN DAYTONA BEACH FLORIDA EVER AGAIN. I RECOMEND OTHER PEPOLE TRY A DIFRENT VACATION SPOT. NOT VERY HAPPY VIRGINIA 6-27-09 THRU 7-2-09

Needs more than improvement!!

My daughter and I were very displeased along with several other guests at the hotel. The room were not "as seen" on the internet. Our room had to be changed because the slider door did not lock and we were on the 1st level. The large (1 1/2") bug on the dresser really got to us.The place needs to be cleaned! thankfully we were only there for 1 night!

Disappointed and disgusted

The hotel room was disgusting. I was first sent to a dirty room. My family and I walk in and the beds had been slept in and there was garbage everywhere. The room we were sent to next in which we stayed wasn't much better. The bathtub was repulsive. The water that came out of the faucet was brown and the tv didn't work and when we called to have it repaired, no one came. This is definately not a place to stay for children...not "family oriented." There was a bar downstairs full of loud, middle-aged drunks. The pool water was dirty. The only good thing about our stay was the beautiful ocean and beach. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. I was very disappointed.

needs improvement

Upon arrival we found the staff to be friendly and accomodating. unfortunately the experience went downhill from there. the first room I had, the sliding door would not close. the second room, the slider could only be opened by two of us. there were cockroaches smashed into the wall near the bathroom which were as old as the paint. the closet doors were falling off the hinges and only a few of the tv stations worked. the complimentary breakfast bar on the other hand was quite nice.
