Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 671Excaliber Hotel
I was surprised when told there was a $7.50 a day amusement tax per room. I do not remember being advised of this when I made my reservation. The hotel Buffet was mediocre at best. The maller food i.e. pot stickers, toasted ravioli, sausage and peppers, spring roll were dry and had been standing for quite a while. The Buffet was not worth the price.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 671Low price till Fees
As many hotels and coffee shops offer free internet it is quite disheartening to see Excalibur charging for Internet service at a whopping $13.95 per day, not the stay but per DAY. That was just outrageous. Make sure you read the fine print of the additional $7.50 per night for a mandatory resort fee over and above the fees you are paying here. Room was clean and service seemed to be OK. Will not be using them again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 671So-So
Our room was clean, decor was outdated. The Excalibur is definitely a family oriented hotel, not ideal for twenty-somethings. There are other hotels on the strip that are the same price, but a little more up to date.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 671Look elsewhere
This hotel is in need of an upgrade. It is dated and worn. The hotel is understaffed and I had to wait several times for the phone to be answered by the front desk. One one ocassion the line to get breakfast in the Sherwood Forest Cafe was so long that we gave up. We later learned that they were understaffed and did not anticipate such crowds even though there were 2 very large conferences in town. We found ourselves going elsewhere for dinner because service throughout the hotel was so poor. The rooms where acceptable but not great. Security was a concern and I walked right past security without showing my key more often then they asked for it. I had 2 different outside foot establishments slide menus under my door. Apparently they got past security as well. Pay a little more elsewhere and get a lot more.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 671arrogant security personnel
I had equipment to carry from this hotel to the neighboring hotels for work issues. When security informed me I cannot use this in their hotel, I did not, but was carrying the stuff to the neighboring hotels. Inspite of stating that I am heading to those hotels they stop me for questioning for almost an hour. The wallpaper in the room was peeling off. When I talked to the cleaning lady about that she said, they have only one person fixing this stuff for the whole hotel and it will not be fixed in a year.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 671Worst Hotel Ever
Overall the Excalibur provided the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The staff was rude and hostile, from valet to check-in to concierge, conveying the feeling that we were seriously inconveniencing them by being there. Over the course of our 3 night stay we went from feeling surprise over the environment at the Excalibur, to complete disappointment and dismay. We shrugged it off at first, thinking the first may just have been an 'off' night, but the continued lack of basic customer service and polite professionalism displayed by every employee we came in contact with was enough to taint our experience in Las Vegas. Do yourselves a favor, stay somewhere else.
