Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 9Three Complaints
We were in Houston 4th of July weekend for a wedding. I thought this hotel looked nice online as it was in person. Here's my three complaints and I will not stay they again. 1.) They charged my credit card again! I booked through hotels.com and prepaid for 4 rooms. When you arrive they ask for a credit card for incidentals (which their were none) and they immediately charged my card $129.75. I asked the front desk if they had charged me for anything; they assured me there were know charges from them; everything was prepaid through hotels.com. Once I spoke to my bank; they said the charges were from Hyatt Place Airport. I'm not paying twice! 2.) The room was not as large as I hoped. There is no privacy door between sofa and the bed; there is a partial divider but know door that closes. There was only one television; if we're 2 adults and 2 children (all parents know the children get control of the television). 3.) There's no microwave, but you can leave your room hand your food over to a complete stranger and have them go into the hotels kitchen and they will warm your food for you (now that can get old really soon)

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 9It was OK
My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Place in the room with a king size bed. There is only a shower in those rooms, not bathtub. The room was OK for the price.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 9Needs to have a backup Generator
I spent the extra money assuming that this hotel had a backup generator. I evacuated there for Hurricane Ike and we not only lost power but we also didn't have water. We went downstairs to get out of the room and they had sandwiches (Bread and meat) that they ask whether we wanted. Later we found out that they wasn't giving the sandwiches away and we got charged for it. I left a day early because we couldn't take it anymore and still got charged.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 9Nice hotel, horrible service!
When ordering food at the downstairs lounge area I waited over 15 minutes to be helped just for a sandwich. Then it took another 31 minutes for it to come to me. Next morning trying to get a cup of starbucks coffee, waited in line for over 20 minutes. Crazy is what it is. They dont have enough people on wait staff to help everyone. Hotel was not even at half capacity. Hyatt place are very nice hotels but this one I would stay far away from.
