Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 4Somewhat disappointed.
I really was expected more from an established, famous five star hotel. When I stay at a five star I want to be wowed! I was not wowed by anything in this hotel. Yes it is very nice, but the five star extras don't seem to be there. Room service was actually awful especially for the price. Everything was very clean but once again no "wow" factor. The front desk and other employees were very friendly but were very slow or did not know their stuff. There are other luxury hotels I would recommend in the Houston area over the Four Seasons.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 4Great Service but the Rooms need updating
I actually live in Houston and booked the executive suite for a weekend staycation. We booked the Four Seasons because of the reputation they have for luxury & top notch service. Well, we found the service really is top notch, but the luxury is lacking. Our executive suite had two TV's, both old CRT type TVs. The furnishings were old. And the bathroom was lack luster. But the service was excellent. Each person we dealt with was helpful and pleasant. From the baggage handler to the check in person. The room was very clean. If you are not really interested in an upscale room, then I'd say this is your place. The service really was great. I'd even go back if I could be assured I'd get one of the updated rooms.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 4Disappointed
The hotel was dated and needs to be updated, but that was expected as there are ample pictures. The Good: Pool area is nice, most of the staff is on par with what is expected at a Four Seasons. The Restaurant is Good Quality. The Bad: Valet wait time. some mornings it took about 20 min with no one else waiting. no wakeup call on the morning i was leaving and caused my wife to miss her flight. housekeeping threw away some sacks that had items my wife had purchased in them.. The Ugly: We complained about the wakeup call and the items being thrown away in room to the front desk and upon checkout, and upon checkout, had to wait (remember we are already late) for the manager to come out to talk to us....only so that he could apologize....and said he would give us an upgrade if we ever came back...but made no adjustment to our bill...terribly inaffective manager!!!!
