Needs Improvement

The hotel room was not clean, it smelled very musky, the carpet had stains, there were not enough utensils and the utensils were cheap with blue gingham handles. The lobby also smelled. It took two phone calls to the front desk to get wash clothese....not impresseed with this resort.

Paper Thin Walls

My wife and I spent a week at the Camelot in October of 2009. The room was clean and well equipped, and the ocean view was wonderful. Our stay was made very unpleasant, though, by noise from adjoining rooms. Televisions played at normal listening levels and even conversations can be heard through the paper thin walls. A "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door seemed to inspire the housekeeping staff to choose our door to shout back and forth to one another, for no apparent reason. Hotel staff called us on our room phone- to try to sell us a timeshare! Our "free gift" upon arrival was also a thinly veiled attempt to interest us in a timeshare purchase. We will not return to the Camelot.

Fall Getaway

This facility was just ok. Part of my problem might be that we stayed at the Anderson and the rooms were spectacular, guess I expected the same sort of facility even though it was older. The maid service was not good. One day no towels left and a bag of garbage from another room. Called the front desk and the maintenance person came to get it. The glass doors to the balcony were in need of cleaning. The showerhead was loose and sprayed water all over the bathroom. We had a beautiful ocean view room and loved the beach access. Very nice beach. Also no dishwasher or washer/dryer. Not horrible but did not meet my expectations. I have also stayed at the

Not so Hot

the unit we stayed in was worn. The location is great and the view nice but this is not a high class hotel, it is not even a medium class. If I were in college looking for a cheap beach spot it would be great. But not so nice for a family. Woke up in the morning tolook out at the beautiful beach to see an obscene picture in the sand. Something told me this was not a rare occurance. Explain that one to the kids.

Needs Improvement

The layout of our 2 BR suite was excellent. However, it was very dirty and in need of an overall cleaning. The furniture was worn out and filthy. The location was great. I bought a can of Lysol and disinfected the entire suite before unpacking.

Ok stay

First, their check in is 4pm - I knew that but MOST hotels are ready for you when you arrive. We did stop by the hotel at 11:30am so they knew we were in the area BUT our room was not ready until 4:15pm. They did not even offer us something for the long wait. The room was okay - it just needs some touching up. As so does the pool area outside - alittle worn. They also need more music CD's. They played the same CD everyday! You got sick of hearing it by the end of the week. The room was clean except for when we checked in I found a dried up contact on the bathroom floor - so I guess they did not mop the floor huh? The kitchen had mix match silverware? Positive note: the garage is attached so access to our car was convienent. Location of the hotel is close to major attractions. Hotel was pretty much quiet. We will not stay there again simply because there are other hotels we stayed at down there that are nicer.

I know that the Home Owner Representative is currently working on getting all rooms updated and making sure that if something needs to be updated she is letting the homeowners know. We were guest in your hotel in 2002 and found it to be an excellent hotel. Regretfully, it has not been maintained at the standard that we first saw it.

First, when I arrived I expected more out of the room, and it let me down. Second, the room service was poor, we had to contact the front desk several times throughout the day for TOWELS so that we could wash after leaving the Beach...waited all day for Towels.. No Smoking Resort....Killed Me!!!

Not Worth the Money

This hotel is in need of a major overhaul. The first room I was given was just not clean. Dust was everywhere. We stayed there one night, but asked to be relocated to another room for our remaining two nights. The second room was much cleaner, but the bathrooms in both rooms were just awfully. It looked like a 1/2 bath with a tub/shower--very small with a very, very small sink. Location was great though--right on the beach and a few blocks from Broadway at the Beach. Still, not worth the money.

Needs more practice

I'm not that picky, but there are a few things needed when staying in a hotel. The first night there was no soap in the room. The following night, there were no wash clothes. I guess they didn't want us to bath or something. The indoor pools were nasty looking, they had a greenish color to them. Tried swimming in the outdoor pools, but they are unheated. Overall I was very disappointed with my stay there.

Outdated and dirty

Was not thrilled when we walked into our room. It is very outdated and the floors were dirty and the carpet was coming up. The bathroom wasn't that great either. No counter space in the bathroom and the room was musty and moldy around the sliding glass door. Was not worth the money!

Needs improvement

We were told we would have a king bed. We had 2 queens. The furnings were old and outdated. Carpet old. No fitness center or spa on site. Had to walk 6 blocks for the use of the spa and the fitness center. The conceirge was not helpful in helping my husband book a game of golf. Was not knowledgeable. We will not stay there again.
