Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 46Decent room for sale price
Hotel Phillips provided a decent room for the price, although the room was very dusty and it seemed the bathroom was cleaned hurriedly. I am not sure I would go back a second time there.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 46Exercise your options
The Hotel Phillips is an okay property. The rooms are fine but the decorating is tired. I was hoping it would be restored to some of its historic splendor. However it was fine until you hit the workout room. Ugh. The equipment was RUSTED and in poor repair. It was stuffy, no fan and old, old tvs. With a little bit of effort it could be upgraded.

Good location but that's about it. Service was okay, but something we should not have had to ask for... like toilet paper in our room!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 46Good location
I picked the Hotel due to its location to Power and Light. When you walk in the lobby is nice but when we got to our room the room was very small, and not the in the best shape.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 46Front Desk
I was there for a wedding this past weekend. The hotel lost the reservation of another guest and told them they were out of luck because the hotel was full, but then told them at 1 am they had 4 rooms still open but could not rent them the room because of other reservations. The people at the desk said only a manager could over ride the decision and there was not a manager there. Who doesn't have a manager on site on a Saturday where the hotel is full? It was horrible customer service.

The setting is great, the lobby attractive, the room a good size with a nice layout...BUT the upholstery was dirty on the sofa and ottoman, the brass end table covered with rings, the silk throw pillow torn, the shower curtain stained, the liner fraying, the bathroom wallpaper coming away at the seams, the room carpet worn and dirty-looking. We asked for another room. The new room was a bit better, no fraying shower curtain liner, no ripped silk throw pillow cover. The sofa looked cleaner, there was no ottoman. The end table still had multiple rings that aren't the "distressed" look but just a sign that someone with a good eye needs to go through the rooms regularly and keep them fresh-looking. Not impressed.

Great location. Great bar downstairs with live music. Sub par bed. And the rest of the hotel has that old feel to it... so, not the cleanest feeling.

Room advertised was dramatically larger than the tiny corner room they crammed us into. Felt smaller than my college dorm room.

I think that for the price that i paid for a one night stay, and what I got sucked. I cant believe that you have to pay for internet anywhere anymore. the breakfast that I paid for when I booked my room was nasty, all I had to choose from was crusty old oatmeal and some sliced canalope and honey dew. next timke I will stay across the street

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 46Renovation Needed
This hotel needs some serious updating in their furnishings and decor. The room and bathroom were not exactly desirable for the prices we paid. The facility appeared to be dated and wasn't that comfortable to stay in.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 46Over-booked
Upon arriving at the hotel we were informed that they had over-booked and we would have to go to another hotel. We refused to do so because I had called the hotel three times the previous week to confirm our reservations. I had chosed that hotel because of it's proximity to the Sprint center where our concert was at.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 46Great service but that is about it...
First of all, we did not get the room we reserved through hotels.com. When we got there, we were told that they had overbooked and gave us a smaller room. The rooms were not as nice as the pictures on the internet and they looked nothing like a 4 star hotel. (I have been in hotels rated lower than that that were nicer.) We had to slam the door to get it to shut, the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the TV was old, the AC didn't work well and the room was cramped. We ordered a salad from room service that was great and the continental breakfast was okay. I ordered breakfast from the menu on the second morning and wished I hadn't. It was not good. I couldn't even get myself to finish it. After reviewing our bill, they tried to charge us for the free valet parking that was part of our reservation. We asked them to remove the charges and they did. On a postive note, the sevice was great. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it and won't stay there again.
