Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 45Pre-digital coolness
Each room feels like it could be your apartment. Great gym facilities. BBQ and Bar right by the pool. (Two pools, btw) ... Two restaurants - one a great diner with a hostess that sings Judy Garland tunes on occasion. The other in the bar is great for late night eats - charge it all to your room! Great vibe - great perks/conveniences - awesome staff. Can't wait to go back.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 45Clever, kitchey, friendly, green, and cheap. LOVED IT!
The Ace Hotel isnt fancy but its well put together in a way that cuts unnecessary amenities out and splurges on the important ones making it a stylish, hip choice at an affordable price. Dogs are welcome almost everywhere on property (and theres alot of dogs there) so you can lounge at the pool with your pooch and theyll bring water for her. Its a great vibe which makes it a fun place instead of everyone being too "cool". The local, organic food is delicious and the drinks (and adult snow cones) are too. The ground are super clean and well kept. Its very much like a more casual version of The PArker, Palm Springs with better service, Ill always choose the Ace over the Parker from now on. We loved it and look forward to going back. Better for adults, couples ot groups, than families though.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 45Great place to hang out
The Ace is a great place to lounge by the pool with friends, good food and atmosphere with a nice view of the mountains. The restaurant was great but it would be nice if they offered some late night snacks. The rooms are nice but they need some darker curtains, the sun will shine right thru your white curtains and wake you early in the morning.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 45Fun, Funky, Friendly
Ace Hotel and Swim Club is a made over Ho Jo's situated along a strip of East Palm Canyon Dr. with other similar hotels, only Ace has one upped every other hotel by transforming what was a mediocre at best establishment to something quite unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are quirky and different, with canvas lined walls and bed coverings, slats on opposite walls with hooks that hold complimentary robes and of all things a hiking stick for treks if you so choose. The standard rooms are a bit small, but there are patio rooms that are quite a bit larger with two or three beds and even sofa beds. The patio rooms also allow pets, but the daily pet fee is a little steep: $25 per day per pet. Also the room rates are pretty reasonable, but they tack on a $20 a day "resort" fee on to that because of the spa facilities at the hotel. The gym, sauna and steam bath are gratis; there is a fee for massages and other services. There are bikes that are complimentary for rides around town. The restaurant and bar are nice, maybe a bit pricey, and on the weekends there is a bar outside by the pool. There are two pools and a huge hot tub (not jacuzzi) with oversize ottomans and hammocks for lounging, and the restaurant and bar serve food and drinks at the pool area. The landscaping is lovely; xeriscape and minimal but very effective, with drought tolerant trees and plantings and decomposed granite and concrete walkways throughout. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is thinking of a getaway to Palm Springs. Really the only negatives I could think of was the over the top pet fee and a room service tray that sat outside our neighbors door for the two days we were there. The manager was very embarrassed and apologetic when I told her about it so I guess I can give them a pass on that. Try Ace, you'll like it!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 45Loved the Ace Palm Springs!!
The styel of the place was really great, young, hip, relaxing. We had a garden room, brought our dog Blanca and had THE BEST TIME. The crowd is very mixed which is always nice. Overall, EXCELLENT weekend! We will definitely be back to the Ace sometime soon.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 10 of 45Indie Hipster Paradise
If you like the indie scene, you'll fit right in. From the hip front desk staff, to the bartenders poolside on longboard skateboards, every detail screams culture, fashion, design, and yet all the comfort and professionalism you would expect from a hotel. Inventive typography and graphic design throughout so if you're a design nerd you'll love it. Really well thought out room interiors with tons of creative touches and comfort. You have to check out the best stocked mini bar in the world. Late night poolside for cocktails and indie music while seeing outdoor fireplaces glow is a wonderful way to end the evening. Close to town for Palm Springs and on the way to Indio- great location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 45Edgy, funky, off-beat retreat.
Either you get it, or you don't. For those who get it- ACE is the place. If you don't- stay far, far away. =)

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 45cool place
Went with another family and our kids. I wouldn't classify it as a family place, mostly young single people there, but we had a great time there and our kids loved all the dogs staying there. Just make sure you don't have a room by the big pool since they have big, DJayed parties there.(Unless that's your scene.) It was like a night club there. It didn't bother us, because our rooms were near the smaller pool but if we had a room near that area it would have been a problem for us-no way to put kids to sleep with the loud music.
